Chapter 38 -My Alpha

I pushed open the hall door and walked in. The faces of the men turned to look at me but quickly went back to their conversations once they realised it was just me. Mazz and Julian were here as well as four others, the commanders. Smith sat quietly at the back corner of the room. He was avoiding eye contact with me, he must still be embarrassed about his reaction to Zelena’s heat. I stood at the head of the table and cleared my throat loudly.
“Settle down, let’s get things started” I called to them.
“Thanks pup, but we’ll wait for the Alpha” one of the commanders spat with a sarcastic laugh. I think his name is Jackson.

Zelena.As I stomped back down the stairs, I found Gunner talking with Tobias, Cole and a man I hadn’t seen before. Zelena.“Come and see them off, they’ll want to see you” Dad said before disappearing back through the door.Gunner took my arms from around his neck and kissed my hand before leading me out onto the porch. The village looked empty, I could see men and wolves gathered at the tree line towards the edge of the clearing.
