Zelena.
As we got to Gunner's room, he gently placed me down on the edge of the bed and went to the other side.
“I’d like to use the bathroom” I said standing up slowly.
He grabbed my hand and started to walk with me. I stopped and looked up at him and smiled,
“I think I can manage on my own”
“Oh yeh, sorry” he laughed letting my hands go and sitting on the end of the bed.
Zelena. I opened my eyes slowly. The sun was already shining brightly through the window. I reached my arm behind me and felt around the bed. I sat up quickly and looked around the room. Gunnerwasnātthere. I took a deep breath and yawned stretching my arms out. Wait, my chestdidnāthurt. I twisted my back from side to side waving my arms in the air, my ribsdidnāthurt at all. I got up from the bed and walked around the room, still no pain. I noticed the bookshelf and decided totake a look. There were so many books, some with older worn covers and others newer looking. I picked up a small red b
Zelena.I headed up the stairs and back to Gunners room. I plopped myself on the bed and stared at the ceiling. Wow, how crazy was that. I thought back to the first day that I saw him, bumping into him in the hall. He made me feel so nervous even then. It makes sense now why Icouldn’tget him out of my head, why I felt so drawn to him. And in the hallway when he bandaged my hand, he is the first person that has ever made me feel safe. It’sall so clear now, this weirdcrazy world that I’ve been plunged into, it’s where I’m meant to be. With him. I sat up on the bed and decided to go and find him.Iwal
Gunner.I sat slumped on the floor, the tears rolled freely down my cheeks. Cole, Smith, Nat, Deena Mum and Dad, all stood in the hallway whispering to each other.“Your what?” Nat said stunned.Ididn’trespond, all I could think of was Zee. Icouldn’tlose her, not now, not ever. I have only just found her, and I know in my heart what we have together, I know the bond is real, I can feel it.&ldqu
Gunner. The next few days all blurred together, I slept on the chair next to the bed. Zelena had good days and rough days. She would lay motionless for hours and then have a sudden burst of panic thrashing about and screaming but she never fully woke up and never opened her eyes. A few times a day a tray of food was left by the door with fresh flowers. Nat came by at one point asking to come in and see Zelena, the only way I could get rid of her was withmy visa cardand theopportunityto go shopping to buy Zee some clothes and stuff. Cole and Smith flashed me a couple of times to check in, but Ididn’tfeel like talking to them or seeing them. Artemis dropped off another jar of cream but seeing how I barked at h
Gunner. The light shone through the window on my face, waking me up. Zelena was still asleep holding onto my arm. I brushed the air from her face. She is gorgeous. She has a small purple mark still on her eye lid and the cut has healed over with only a tiny scab left. Her lip was back to normal as are the other cuts and bruises on her face. The healing worked. I lay there admiring her beauty, she is perfect. I leaned forward and sniffed at her hair, she smells so sweet,it’shard not to nuzzle into her. I want to pull her into my arms and hold her, but Idon’twant to wake her. I reached out to stroke the soft skin of her cheek but snapped my hand back.I’d&
Gunner. As we came up to the sand I looked down along the water’s edge, still no people. I ran for the water, prancing over the small waves and diving under the as they got bigger. The blood of the elk washed off with each hit of a new wave. I was swimming in a circle around Cole when he jumped onto my back, playfully pushing me down. I turned my neck and nipped at his hind legs causing him to fall off, splashing into the water. I swam around and hit him in the face with my tail and then slowly made my way back to shore. Walking up onto the sand I shook off the excess water and laid down further up on the dry sand. The sky was blue and cloudless, the sun was getting low but was still warm. Cole shook off and dropped down next to me. He rested his head on his front legs and looked out across the water.*Are you ready to tell me
Zelena. We got to Gunner’s room with me still hanging over his shoulder, using his foot he flicked the door closed behind us. My heart was racing, and my stomach was doing excited back flips. He threw me down on the bed and climbed on top of me, grabbing my hands and pinning them above my head. He held them there with one hand and using the other he gripped the back of my knee lifting it up so that my leg was around his waist. His face was so close to mine, if I just lifted my head a little bit, I could feel those lips. He squeezed my thigh, pressing his fingertips in hard. He nuzzled his face into my neck using his head to push my head back, he kissed my neck gently.“Are you going to growl at me again?” he asked, I could hear the smirk in his tone. He’s teasing me, deliberately. He pulled my earlobe between his teeth, eliciting a moan from me.“I may” I groaned. The we
Zelena. After setting my feet back on the ground, Gunner took my hand and led me downstairs. He led me to a door I hadn’t seen yet, he pushed it open and ushered me in. The room was long and narrow and had a huge wooden table in it, the table could easily seat like twenty people. There were no windows and just one other door at the end of the room. Over the table were a row of three hanging lights, similar to the chandelier in the foyer. There were eleven place settings already set out with silver cutlery and big white plates.“I thought we were just meeting your dad?” I whispered as I clutched his arm.“We are, plus two or three others” he chucked rubbing my hand.He directed me to the seat nearest to the end of the table and pulled the chair out for me. What a gentleman he is. I sat down and he sat in the chair next to me.
