Chapter Thirty Six

She heard the gunshots while spending her time with children who were invited for breakfast from NGO. She was glad their bus left before any tragedy. Her gaze turned to her husband who looked unaffected by it and eating fruits from the bowl, she hadn't finished yet.

"Liam," Her steps were slow toward him, but big eyes were carrying dread.

"Nothing should bother you, babe." Wrapping his hand around her wrist, he tugged her onto his lap and held out the fork for her.

"I'm not hungry now." She pushed his hand away, "What has just happened?" She asked.

"You don't need to know," He dropped it with a clink.

"I hate this," She huffed, turning her face away from him, clearly, showing her annoyance. Her eyes rested on the doctor and one guard ushering her inside, "Why is the doctor here?" She asked, getting on her feet.

Liam got on his feet as well. His gaze was demanding on the guard.

"Isha ma'am is sick." The guard replied.
