Elaine's Point of View
I sighed when Montemayor still hadn't put me down no matter how hard I tried. Looks like I don't have a choice but to talk with Kaizer in front of him.
“Kaizer, what are you doing here? How did you know I was here?” I asked because I don't know why he suddenly showed up here in Montemayor's mansion when I haven't called my father yet because I'm afraid he would panic.
“Wife, how did you know him?” Montemayor asked with his brow tugging upwards.
I don't like our position. He was holding my waist while I'm on his shoulder. And I'm facing Kaizer like a freaking snake.
“I'm not your wife. And can you please put me down?” I said while moving my body again, but he changed my position. He's now carrying me like I'm his bride. What was he doing? Kaizer might think something!
I tapped my forehead because of embarrassment, but Kaizer pulled my hand. “Elaine, we're going home. You want to see your father, right?” he asked. Sadness was evident in his voice. The truth is, I don't know how to say to my father why I'm here.
I was about to speak when Montemayor interrupted, “What do you think you're doing, jackass?” he asked. When I look at him, I saw his thick brows furrowing like he's not agreeing with Kaizer.
“It's obvious that Elaine wants to go home. Just let her go and look for someone suitable for your shit,” Kaizer answered back. His hold tightened around my hand and the tension went high. I sighed.
“Stop it, okay? Yes, yes, I want to go home already, but it's rude to leave without saying thank you to Montemayor. I should thank him for saving my life. And how did you know I'm here? Care to explain, Kaizer?” I asked while raising a brow at him. Looks like he's hiding something from me.
Is it the wedding? If that's what he's hiding, then I want to know what's his connection to Montemayor.
“I just followed you, that's it,” he directly answered, but I'm not convinced. It's obvious that he's lying. I need to know the full story of why my father had a debt to the Montemayors.
“Be honest. Do you know something about what Montemayor was saying?” I asked him. He averted his gaze from me like he's gonna say something he shouldn't.
“Wife, he is my co-mafia. Can we continue in the dining room? He's just wasting our time,” Montemayor said which made my mouth gape. What? Kaizer's his co-mafia? Then he knew something.
I quickly pulled my hand from Kaizer's grip. He should've said the truth to me, that they know something about the wedding so I wouldn't have to place myself in a dangerous situation just to know more about that thing.
“Elaine, wait, I'm going to explain. Don't be mad at me,” Kaizer shouted while following us.
I sighed at what's happening, but he shouldn't be involved with this because it's our family who has a debt to the Montemayors.
“Kaizer, it's fine. You don't have to explain. Can you inform my father that I'm here so he would not worry? I'm in good hands with my soon-to-be husband,” I said and forced a smile. I can't lie to Kaizer, but I don't want him to get involved with our family's issue, especially that he's Louis' co-mafia.
“But it's not—”
Montemayor cut him off. “You heard my wife. Leave now and don't interrupt us again. We will be having our good time later,” Montemayor mocked. Kaizer bit his lips which means he's irritated.
“Fuck you. If you lay your hands on Elaine, I will kill you, Louis,” Kaizer angrily said and glared at Montemayor who didn't even flinch with what he said.
“I will just sleep with her in our bed later,” Montemayor answered. That made Kaizer's blood boil. He took out his gun that shocked me. What's happening with them?
“Shoot,” Montemayor challenged him while grinning.
“You guys are not kids anymore. Could you two please stop? I'm fine, Kaizer, don't worry about me. And you, Montemayor, I will kick you!” I shouted at them while trying to kick Montemayor's face because he's still carrying me.
Kaizer turned around and said, “Thank Elaine because she's here because if not, you will be seeing Lucifer, he said and walked away.
I sighed. “Fine. I agree with the wedding. But in one condition,” I said while trying not to look at him. I can't still move on with what he said in front of Kaizer.
“What is it?” he asked while we're walking down the stairs. I'm mesmerized by the chandelier hanging in the ceiling, but what amazed me more was the design of his mansion.
“Wow,” I mumbled while looking around. Damn, Montemayor's rich.
I jumped to escape from his grip. He was shocked by what I did. I just did the peace sign and looked at the big shelf full of books. I love books, especially Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes. And because I don't have the money to buy his books, I just searched his books online.
I was trying to reach the book about Sherlock Holmes, but it's too high that I had to climb, but because of climbing, the shelf fell. Montemayor hugged me before it even fell. When I opened my eyes and realized our position, I pushed him.
He was holding the shelf when the book fell. I picked them up when someone spoke from behind me.
“Ma'am, let me do that. The dinner's ready for the two of you,” an old woman said. Her eyes were brown. Aging was evident because of her wrinkles, but she's still beautiful.
“I'll help you,” I offered but she refused. She said that there are maids to help her clean this. I just nodded and sadly followed a woman to the dining room.
“Wife, do you want anything?” Montemayor asked while we're walking. I just want to hold Sherlock Holmes, but I can't reach it because of my height.
“Nothing,” I said. After a long walk, we stopped in front of a huge door. Salle à Manger was written on it, but I can't understand the language.
“Dining room, it's just translated in French,”
Montemayor said like he knew what I was thinking.
When the woman opened the door, a huge table made of marble greeted us. At the center of it was a vase full of roses.
“Here, let me help you.” Montemayor pulled a chair for me. I don't know why he's nice to me now when earlier, he almost wanted me to be eaten by a tiger.
“Thank you,” I answered and sat on the chair. The dishes were being prepared by chefs.
A woman was about to put me some rice on when I stole the spoon from her. “It's fine, I can handle it,” I said and smiled.
“And, oh, about the condition, Montemayor,” I reminded him while scooping some rice. He looked at me and waited for what I would say.
I was about to say something when someone entered the door that made me stop. A man wearing a tuxedo stopped in front of Montemayor.
“Oh, I see you're having dinner with one of your flings,” he said and looked at me.
“Well, sorry to interrupt, but I found information about Mariella and she is in the hospital right now,” he continued. Montemayor stood up.
“Excuse me, wife,” he said and kissed me on the forehead and went outside with the man.
Who's that Mariella? Is she that important to Montemayor that he had someone monitor her whereabouts?
Third Person's Point of View“What do you need, asshole? You're ruining my dinner with my wife,” Louis said to Tyron, his cousin who owns a hospital. Aside from it, Tyron is an investigator.“Really, you have a wife now? As far as I remember, you hired me to find where Mariella was and now that I got the information, you're mad at me,” Tyron answered while in the garden. Louis didn't want Elaine to hear what Tyron was saying, especially that his father will visit him to talk about the wedding.“Where is she?” Louis asked. He wants to see Mariella. Because he only got some information now about Mariella after he broke up with her.“At my hospital. By the way, can I have your wife as the payment?" Tyro directly asked. But Louis showed his gun and pointed it at Tyron.“What did you say, fucker?” he asked, angry. He doesn't want anyone meddling with his belongings.“What? As far I know,
Third Person's Point of ViewElaine gasped and pushed Louis away. She doesn't know what to feel. “Get out, Louis,” Elaine said. She's still angry because of the name Louis had mentioned. She doesn't have the right to get angry because she doesn't have a position in his life. She was only a payment for her father's debt to the Montemayors. She also knew that the man who entered the room earlier and informed her that she shouldn't wait for Louis because he's with Mariella— doesn't like her as well.“Wife . . . I'm sorry, I know it's you,” Louis whispered. She could feel Louis' breaths on her neck. It gave her an unexplainable heat.“Louis, you're drunk. Get out!” she shouted, but the truth is, something's want to get out of her heart. Louis lowered himself to whisper in her ear.“Your scent is like a drug to me. When I smell it, I can't stop looking for you,” Louis said. Elaine doesn't know what t
Third Person’s Point of ViewWhen Louis got to the basement, he shouted at Volstrige because he interrupted him and Elaine.“You should know the consequences of what you did,” he said and took his favorite pistol. A Beretta 92. It came from Italy. Jacob gave this to him when he went to the Philippines to celebrate his new business about alcohol.Volstrige hid behind Alex's back, but Brennon pulled him out. “Boss, shoot this womanizer. I almost got killed because of him,” Brennon said while laughing.“Fuck you! I didn't do anything to you!” Volstrige shouted. The two started quarreling.“I will kill the both of you. I have things to do, lead the way,” he authoritatively said. The two bowed and guided Louis to where the spy was.Louis has been thinking about going home not because he's sleepy, but because he wanted to join Elaine in bed and sleep.“Damn, they tend to blab
Third Person's Point of View“Wife, what took you so long? Does Louis have another fling again?” asked the man who looked like Louis, the only difference is that this man looked older even though he seemed like a teenager. The man stopped from locking his car when he saw Elaine. He knew this woman by face because he was the one who ordered Louis to marry this woman.“Who are you, miss, and why are you in my son's mansion? Explain yourself,” a woman said with a raised eyebrow. She was looking at Elaine who doesn't know what to answer because Louis didn't say that his parents will come.“M...me? Ah...uhm,” said Elaine, stuttering. Louis' father stopped his wife from grabbing Elaine's hair because she was already pulling it.“Wife, she is the woman that I'm saying to Louis. For Pete's sake, it's embarrassing to hold your son's bride like that,” he said. His wife stopped and realized what she was doing to
Third Person's Point of ViewSirius' butler was restless while they headed to the jail. He has been serving Sirius for six years, and this is the first that this happened. Sirius will surely get angry once he sees him with his cousins. Because Sirius hates asking for help.He doesn't want to be judged. One time, Sirius almost killed him because he said something to Sirius' parents. Sirius wants to live alone without asking for help from others, but Sirius can't do anything because his problem was too much. The company that he built may crumble.“Can you tell us what happened?” Kaizer asked while Louis was busy with his phone. Because his mother always calls to say that he should go home and talk about the wedding. Louis wants to go home, but he can't yet. His cousin needs him now.“This is what happened. I'm sorry for what I did earlier, but Sir Sirius' company was in trouble because a guy named Oliver exposed the illegal activities of m
Third Person's Point of ViewLouis stepped on the gas as he drove the car faster. He is honestly worried about the woman since he found out from her mother that something bad has happened to her.“Damn,” he cursed, slamming the wheels because of the heavy traffic ahead. Of all times to be stuck in the traffic, it had to be when he's in a hurry.“Can you calm down? As if you can stop the traffic with that, idiot,” Kaizer scolded him but his hands have been shaking from fear thinking about what could have happened to Elaine. He has fostered feeling for her but he suppressed them every time they meet because he doesn't want to confuse her.To be honest, he knows Elaine more than her fiance but he can't do anything about that since he doesn't know if the feeling is mutual. If only he could take her away and live somewhere simply but the moment that happens, both of them will lose something very important and he doesn'
Third Person's Point of View“Montemayor, are you okay? You look like you just saw a ghost,” Elaine commented, looking at Louis' pale face. She did not know why the young man reacted so much to her picture when she was younger, cradled in the arms of her mother."How are you related to that woman?" Louis asked. He was confused by what was happening and his head hurt suddenly. The memory of his former nanny comes back to him.***“Lou-lou, you shouldn't go out at times like this. Your father will definitely scold you,” his favorite nanny, Serena, preached to him.She is kind and always puts his feelings first before hers. Honestly, she was the first person to see him cry especially whenever his father scolded him.“But I want to go to Uncle Liam’s mansion. He will probably get mad at Sirius because of what we did. I want to defend him,” said young Louis who raised his han
Elaine's Point of ViewLouis was quiet while driving. We are on our way to the resort Aunt Hacel talked about. I couldn't help but think about his conversation with Dad. He was already quiet and didn't say much when he came back.I was shivering from the coldness of the aircon because it was focused on me. Louis is driving while Dad and Kaizer are in the other car. At first, Kaizer did not want to go but Father insisted they will not go with us."Wear this," Louis said and slowly opened his compartment to pick up a denim jacket. He handed it to me which I immediately accepted because I felt real ice cold. Even my legs could not move."Thank you," I said. He just nodded and continued driving. I don’t know if Kaizer and dad are ahead of us because we were stuck in the heavy traffic. They might be about 30 minutes ahead."What were you talking about with Dad?" I asked because I could no longer contain the curiosity
