Chapter Fifteen

Third Person Pov

Kavan and Jason left the palace of Silver Crest Pack and walked through the deep forest as the morning mist clung to the leaves. Their sharp senses alert to any signals of danger allowed them to go through the maze-like jungle with hardly any sound from their feet.

Jason's stomach was in knots with each step they took, and he was unable to get rid of it. He had always been the one to be careful and the voice of reason, so he was baffled by the risks that Kavan was ready to take despite knowing what the consequences could be.

He gave his friend a glance as his amber eyes glistened with worry, and even though he could see the determination in Kavan's eyes, he still didn't think it was ideal to go through with it.

"Kavan, I still don't think this is a good idea," Jason whispered, his voice worried. "We're going into enemy territory without a plan." It's dangerous."
