Greg's eyes darted with uncertainty as he pondered my request, his wariness evident in his tensed posture.

I could sense that he was really contemplating on whether or not he should listen to us but knowing very well how greedy the mind could be, I knew for a fact that there was no way he wasn't going to hear us out first before dismissing us.

Finally, he sighed, resignation flickering in his gaze.

"Fine," Greg relented, his voice laced with caution. "But we need to find a more secluded spot to speak. We can't afford any prying ears and I would also prefer to avoid being seen with you strangers," he said, obvious trying to protect himself.

I nodded in agreement, recognizing the wisdom in his words. We couldn't risk our conversation being overheard and since it was going to be obvious that Jason and I don't belong here, it would be better for Greg's sake and ours if we weren't seen together.
