“Eat,” Samanvay said, putting the bowl of freshly sliced mangoes in front of her while taking a seat beside her on the sofa.

His spicy perfume filled Manya’s nostrils. Her body and mind reacted differently to his closeness and just like every time she listened to her mind. She glared at the man seated beside her and said: “Samanvay. Let me go. There is no point in keeping me here. I do not want to be with you anymore.”

He chuckled and took the bowl of fruit in his hands. “I ordered your favourite Mangoes, Sweetheart. I wonder if they taste as sweet as you?”

Manya closed her eyes for a moment and let out a tiring deep breath. Her life had turned into a nightmare and she didn't understand how to end it. “Why are you doing this?” She asked as she opened her eyes and found him eating the mangoes with his hand.

Manya made a face. “You could have used the fork instead,” She couldn't stop herself from commenting.

Samantha chuckled. “What's the fun in it? I like getting my hands messy.”
