My heart dropped when I heard what the driver had said.

Bandits up ahead.

A few years back this road was one of the safest you would ever journey across. The bandits started showing up, claiming it as their turf.

These bandits were rouge wolves who came together to form a band in this part, and they rob people who pass by.

They usually have a leader who is the strongest among them, majority of their loot goes to whoever this person was.

I turned to Atlas and his face was ashen. I wasn't sure if I could fight them off by myself and Atlas didn't have this wolf. I had no idea how we were going to escape this.

“Can we push through?” Atlas asked and the driver replied in the negative.

“Our efforts would be futile if we even try, they would turn to their wolves and might even kill the horses.” The carriage driver said. This situation was graver than I thought.
