Chapter 41

Atlas stared at me, his eyes held so much pain in them that you would think that I was the one who hurt him instead of the other way around.

I wondered if I was being too harsh on him but when I remembered that he had lied to me about everything, I cleared such thoughts.

“Hayley, please just listen to me,” Atlas started, taking a step towards me but Daciana stopped him with her eyes. With the way she looked at him, it wouldn't be a surprise if she burnt him if he took a step closer.

Daciana and my relationship had gotten significantly better after that time in her room, and we were like sisters once more.

“Stay where you are and speak, she can hear you from this distance,” Daciana warned, her eyes held fury as she glared at Atlas but she didn't want to butt into it. She just wanted to make sure I was safe but she wouldn't impose her thoughts on me because she didn't know about the whole. And I respected that.
