Chapter 28. Twists of Fate

The breakfast is delicious but eating alone is somewhat lonesome. I have asked Laura to join me but she politely declined.
“I’m sorry Princess, I already ate before I came here. Thank you for asking.”
With a timid smile, she left me in the dining table and continued her work in the house.
My thoughts went back to Alpha Zero and the last encounter that we had, the fact that we don't have a good relationship and we were not even what you would call as friends but still I felt a silent yearning to have him by my side.
After eating I went back to my room. Laura had already informed me about the emergency meeting that Alpha Zero has to attend. I was curious to the purpose of the sudden appointment but when I asked her if she knew anything, she just said that Ayah is coming to accompany me and perhaps she knows the detailed answer to that query.
