Since the incident with the vase, Victor did everything in his power to stay away from home, which wasn't that hard for him anyway. He always had things to do in the office and when he didn't, meeting his friends at the club wasn't too much of a sacrifice either.

The truth was that he gave a damn about the object. In fact, he never really liked it. It reminded him of his mother, which wasn't a good memory at all. What was bothering him immensely was the fact that he couldn't take Sarah out of his mind.
