136. Against All Odds

Leena's POV

“Officer, I can't believe you fell for those words he stated. He is lying!” I couldn't control my emotions as I yelled at the police officer in anger.

“What do you mean?” He scoffed.

“I know the man I married. James would and will never have any twins!” I said seriously.

“But he showed us evidence and everything. He also had an alibi that made it hard for us to point him as the victim.” He rashly explained to me.

“Am I blind or something? How come for so many years when I was married to him, I never heard of or seen his so-called twin brother? Why are you falling for these lies? I mean, you can even ask around to know if this is true!” I rambled with words in annoyance, firing several questions at them.

“We are sorry, Mrs. Sean. We have to follow this case slowly. Besides, he has good connections and I'm afraid of losing my job.” He said skeptically and I smirked.
