I shut the door behind Klaus and turned around again to appreciate the beautiful decor in front of me. Right from the moment I walked into this beautiful edifice, despite being distracted by my current predicament, I couldn't help but admire how stunning and immaculate everything looked.

During the time I dated Klaus, I never gained entrance into the building; the farthest I ever got was outside the gate when he gave me a sneak peek of where he lived. I scanned the guest room one more time; it looked like it was tailored to my taste. Absolute perfection.

A smile subconsciously creased my lips, one that I wiped away immediately as I recollected my task. I had things to do, people to visit, an errand to run, and a sick man whom I would rather kill, to cure.

I gritted my teeth in anger as I thought about my unavoidable mission. My cellphone chimed, the sound causing my heart to leap in fear. This had become frequent with every incoming text because I knew just what to expect.
