CHAPTER 8

My thought didn't go still even after Xander was gone. How could it? Those sparks were the best thing I've felt since the beginning of my existence. I just couldn't stop thinking about it for a second. The main door of the dungeon opened and I heard footsteps,a single pair this time. It was the other guard who was with the alpha earlier. His eyes were full of hate as he opened my cell.

I moved in fear. Why was he here? It was obvious he hated me. Did they send him to kill me? He yanked me roughly from my position on the floor and pushed me outside.

I caught myself before I could fall face-first on the ground.

"Where are we going?" I asked in fear. He didn't respond to my question and only pushed me harder. My hip slammed into another cello bar and I groaned in pain. He didn't even acknowledge that or pause in his inhumane treatment. If anything, it gave him joy that I got hurt.
