Chapter Eight.

Amelia’s POV.

I tried to come up with an idea, but nothing came to mind. I racked my brain, searching for a way to turn the situation around, but no ideas came to me. With a sigh, I got up from the couch and headed to my room. I collapsed onto my bed, burying my face in my pillow. I couldn't help but feel like I had messed everything up. How could I have been so foolish?

My head began to throb, and I felt a headache coming on. I picked up my phone and set an alarm for the time I had to take Jayden to school. The bus only brought him to school, but I had to pick him up after.

I would rather not oversleep and risk getting a call from the school, which would only add to Greyson's list of complaints about me. As the saying goes, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. I just hoped I could prevent any further problems.
