CHAPTER 47

3 years later….

I was smiling from ear to ear as I watched my son play with his friends in daycare. He's only two yet I already enrolled him in daycare.

I wanted him to have friends since he doesn't have one in our neighbourhood. I never thought that I could see him as happy as like now. He's usually the type who would only talk if needed. He's not shy, he just always prefers to watch cartoons on his own.

Right now, he laughed like there's no tomorrow. He plays like he wanted to befriend everyone his eyes landed on. He giggles like he just heard the funniest joke ever created. I don't see this side of him everyday, especially since I mostly work overtime for his future.

I just want the best for him. That is why I worked as a secretary for my now ex-husband. We have mutual feelings. Love was not present in our marriage. We are like bestfriends living in one house acting like a perfect and lovely couple.

I was glad he offered me to work as his secretary after our divorce was finalised.
