Fearfully, I gulp down saliva, my eyes darting around the lonely, slightly dark corridor.

"Man up and walk down that hallway, Elvira!" I tell myself with a shaky voice. I make up my mind to go down the corridor to Demetrius's room.

I can feel my hands shivering uncontrollably. Gulping down saliva, I raise up my leg, ready to start walking, but suddenly, I hear footsteps approaching me—really fast!

"Who the hell is there?!" I yell, my eyes darting around the place.

The footsteps grow louder and louder, until they are almost upon me. I panic, my heart pounding in my chest.

I frantically look around for something I can use as a weapon and spot a vase on a nearby table. I grab it, dump the flowers on the ground, and raise it in a defensive stance.

I hear the footsteps grow loud with each passing second. Finally, a tall, mysterious shadow appears.

"Ahhh!!!" I yell, closing my eyes and raising the vase above my head. I run towards the source of the footsteps, ready to strike who
