Ivanna had just graduated with her best friend, Ivy Simmons. Some of their friends decided to hang out and go clubbing to the famous club, The Ash Club in the USA. She was wildly dancing when her phone was ringing.
“Ugh, Ivy, who is it?” she asked. Ivy took out her phone.
“It’s your mom!” she mouthed.
“Oh shit!” she cursed.
She quickly grabbed her phone for her and ran out of the club. Her parents were so strict about her that they don't let her go out and go to a club with some sort of friends.
“Hello mom.” She spoke.
“Honey, we need you to come home as fast as you can.” Her mom from the other side said. She was shocked.
“Mom, my flight is still in the second week of the month.” She said, groaning.
“I know, but you need to come home immediately.” By that, her mom ended the call.
She was spectacularly hopeless. She went back inside to find out that her friends were all drunk and, as expected, Ivy was the only one who wasn’t.
“So, what did she say?” Ivy asked her, and she groaned.
“I hate it, they’re telling me to go home.” She spoke.
“What? All of a sudden!” Ivy said.
“Obviously, I don’t know, but she told me to go home as soon as possible.” She groaned.
Ivy was hopeless at helping her out, it was already her parents who were both talking. They had decided to go home already. Ivy Simmons is also the daughter of her parents' business partner. She has been with her since they were in college. Early in the morning, Ivanna and Ivy packed her things off and got on the very first flight going home to London. Ivy sent her off to the airport.
“So, this is it.” She hugged her.
“I’m going to miss you!” Ivy hugged her tightly.
“Going to miss you too!” she said back.
Ivy and Ivanna were waving goodbye to each other. It was hard for Ivanna to leave her, but her parents needed her. After a few hours, she just landed at the London airport. She messages her mother about it and that they had already sent their driver to fetch her up.
“Welcome home, Miss Ivanna!” the driver said.
“Thank you, uncle, Roman.” She said, smiling.
The driver put her baggage in the trunk, she quickly went inside to rest.
“Ugh.” She sighed.
“So, how’s going on with my parents?” she asked him.
“Well, they were doing well,” he replied. Ivanna just nodded. They had just arrived at their gate.
“It’s good to be finally home.” She spoke. She was shocked to see two cars outside their mansion. “Uncle Roman, who are here?” she asked. Uncle Roman went pale. That moment she realized something was strange. She quickly headed inside, and the maids greeted her.
“Miss Ivanna, they are in the dining.” The maid said.
“Thank you.” She smiled. She headed right straight to their dining hall, to see her parents talking to three unfamiliar people about her.
“Hi.” She blurted. All of them stared at her. She was nervous but she just managed to smile.
“Oh dear, nice timing.” Her mom and dad stood up to hug her.
“Alright, is she Ivanna already?” the adult man asks her parents.
“Yes, she is definitely.” her dad proudly replied. She was staring at the three pairs of eyes, the two adults were smiling at her and the only guy who looked aged like her was just staring at her with no expression on his face, but he was handsome, she thought.
“Honey, sit down.” Her mom told her. She sits beside her mom and faces the guy who is just staring at her.
“Mom, who are they?” she asks her mother. Mr. Hendrix cleared his throat.
“Ivanna, this is Mr. Abraham Villareal, his wife Genevieve, and his son, Ashford. They’re here for some sort of important agreement with us.” Her dad said. She was awed.
“Ow, what agreement?” she asked them. Her parents went silent and pale.
“Mom, Dad?” she asked again. No one’s talking when Ashford spills the information on them.
“You’re going to marry me.” he said in a straight tone. Ivanna thought he was just making it up, but her parents agreed with what he said. She didn’t want to make a scene in front of their visitors, so she just acted like she agreed with it.
“So, you’re going to marry, the sooner the better.” Mrs. Villareal said. Ivanna was quiet during the entire dinner; she couldn’t focus to eating because of what she just knew. Ashford was also staring at her, and he knew that she was just acting not to embarrass her parents.
“So, Ivanna. You just graduated, right?” Mr. Villareal asks. She nodded.
“From Harvard right, OH our son also graduated there with the honor of being the cum laude.” Mrs. Villareal was proud.
“Is that so? Our Ivanna also just graduated from cum laude!” her mom said. Ivanna just rolled her eyes; she was just playing at her food. She lost her appetite, knowing she was going to marry the man who was in front of her.
She was waiting for the dinner meeting to be finished. She was relieved when they left. Her parents were eager to leave her.
“Mom, Dad. What kind of surprise is this?” she asked them.
She’s not angry, but she’s just curious. She already knew that this was going to happen. They are rich, and arranged marriages do exist in their vocabulary.
“I’m sorry honey, we just need to cooperate.” her dad said.
Her parents explained their side and Ivanna wasn’t angry with them. She was staring at her ceiling, she was thinking what if she'd run away from her groom. She just sighed and prayed, telling God to guide and save her from distress at all times to be exact.
Ivanna woke up early and decided to take a shower. "Honey, come down later for breakfast." her mom knocks at her door. "Noted, mommy." she said. She let the water flow down through her entire body, she felt relieved and safe. "Gosh, I can't believe I'm going to marry soon." she blurted. She quickly puts on her comfortable outfit, her shorts paired with her loose t-shirt. She headed directly to their dining to eat some breakfast, she was shocked to see Ash eating with her parents. "Oh my." she said. "Good morning." Ash smiled. Ivanna just sarcastically smiled at him and sat in front of him. "Honey, Dwayne came here because we wanted you both to get to know each other before your wedding day." her dad said. She was startled. "For what reason?" she asked. She just eats her breakfast. Ash was just staring at her, and telling his mind that she was not just an ordinary girl. "Honey, you should respect our decision." her dad said. "Okay, fine." she said. "Go on and eat your bre
"Ash." she blurted. "I said, stop calling me that." he said, irritated. Ivanna could see his reaction every time she called him, Ash. It makes her feel confused. "Why so? It looks cool to you." she said. Ash just glared at her. "So, can we go to the mall?" she asked. Ash just nodded, he had nowhere to go. They went to the mall. Ivanna had many things to buy, and he used him as his bag carrier. "Gosh, what do you think of me?" he rehearsed. Ivanna just smiled at him. "Sorry, I just need them." she said. "This is our last destination," he said. Ivanna just laughed, she could see that he was being irritated and pissed. They were on their way to the parking lot when someone bumped into Ivanna, making all the bags she was holding to drop to the floor. "Gosh!" Ivanna stated. "Are you blind?" the woman said. Ivanna was pissed. "Excuse me, but you're the one who bumps with me." Ivanna said. The woman was an inch taller than her, she was pretty and sexy as well, but dumb. "What
They had arrived at their mansion, Ivanna's parents were so happy that Ash accepted their favor to know Ivanna more. "Thank you for bringing our daughter safe." Langston handed him. "It's a pleasure, sir." Ash replied. Ivanna was fixing the things they had bought a while back. "Honey, you bought too much. What are those?" her mom asked her. She just smiled at her, making her mom curious. "Mom, it's my clothes. You know, some of my clothes were already small for me." she said. "Oh, I'm sorry that I forgot to shop for you." Tina said. Tina was watching her daughter, she was so happy and grateful. Ivanna caught her staring at her. "Mom, what are you staring at?" she asked. "Nothing, you've grown so fast." she said. Ivanna was awed and already knew where their conversation was heading already. "Mom, stop it. I don't want you to make a drama here in my room." she said. Her mom laughed. "You're really my daughter." she said. "Okay, I'll go down and I'll call you later for dinn
Ezekiel was staring at his best friend. He knew how much he loved Andrea and how they loved each other. He thinks that Andrea still loves him too now, it's not just they were fated for each other. "Dwayne, how long has she been there already?" he asked him. Ash just drinks his beer. "Maybe two years already." he said. "It's been too long, I guess." Ezekiel said. It's hard for Ash to move on from her. Andrea was his first love and first ever girlfriend so far. Ezekiel could see that he was still in love with her. "Don't tell me, you're going to marry your fiancée for you to move on?" he asks. Ash nodded, he was stunned. "What if she'll come back?" he asked. "I don't know." he said. Ezekiel just sighed. "You know what, if I'm in your place, I'm going to forget about my past and just think about my future. Dude, marry your fiancee to be your future, not to move on from your past." he said. Ash was startled by what he said. He didn't see that coming. Ash thought he had a point.
"Thank you so much for showing me around, you're so kind." Ivanna said to Ezekiel. Ezekiel had enjoyed her company, Ivanna was so sweet and kind and every man would fall for that kind of woman. Ivanna went ahead to meet her parents. Ezekiel is on his way to meet Dwayne. "I'm so sorry," Ezekiel said. "Nah, it's okay. You sure you just showed her around, not to flirt with her?" Dwayne asked. With his tone, Ezekiel thought he was jealous. "Wait, you ask too many questions. Are you jealous?" Ezekiel asked. Ash almost threw up his coffee for him. He just glared at him. Ezekiel was smiling with a matching teasing of his tone. "Nah, I'm not and will never be." Ash said firmly. Ezekiel smirks and scoffs. "Come on man, you're going to eat your words some day." he said. Ash just ignored him. What do you think? Is he going to eat his words later? Ezekiel was very sure he was going to fall for her. "Dwayne, Ivanna is so sweet and kind. Who would fall for that kind of girl? Plus, she's h
Ivanna decided to stroll out of the mall. "God, I'm already bored." she murmured. She went to sit in the café thinking about what to do next and where to go next. "Wait, why will I go to Ash." she was thinking. "Okay! I'll go." she said. She picked up her stuff and went to catch a cab. Good thing she asked her parents where Ash's office was. "Thank you! Have a nice day." she said to the driver and even gave him a tip for entertaining her while on the road. Ivanna stares at the big company in front of her. "Wow." she said. Ivanna went ahead, she greeted the guard. They didn't know she was Ash's fiancée. All the staff were staring at her. She went to the front desk to ask where is his office. "Excuse me, where is Mr. Villareal's office?" she asked. The woman, who was the clerk, was just staring at her. "Hey." she repeated. "I'm sorry, but do you have an appointment?" the woman asked. The tone of her voice was like pushing her away to go away. "Nope, but he does know me." s
Ivanna was just watching him, she wants to walk but her right foot still aches. Her foot also buldge. Ash can see her, trying hard to get up."Just sit down, i'll drop you off later to your home." he said.Ivanna wanted to smile, Ash was being good to her while she was hurt. She was thinking, to hurt herself always for him to take care of her always but she just laugh at her thought. Ash gives her the book she wanted to get a while back for her to have something to do."Wow, this book is epic." she said.Ash could hear her every words, he hated noisy people. Ivanna was already bored, she just played with her phone. She was playing candy crush, her phone's volume was too loud. Ash couldn't concentrate."I can't believe, I'm going to marry this psycho." he murmured."Dang! I lost!" Ivanna shouted.Ash groaned."Ugh, Can you please keep your volume down? Somebody's trying to get some work here." he said.Ivanna must not hea
Ash waited for her to wake up, Ivanna woke up exactly five in the afternoon. She realizes a jacket was covered on her, she smiled to see it was Ash who was wearing it a while ago."I'm sorry, I overslept." she said."It's okay, you ready?" he asked her.Ivanna nodded."Let's go home." he said.Ash holds her while on the elevator until the lobby. Ivanna was sho shy, all of eyes were on them."Who's that?""Dang!""Is that the girl a while back?""Wait, is that the CEO's girl friend?"That's all they heard, Ivanna was just staring at Ash. Ivanna was very near to his face and that she can his heart beating so fast."Hey, I can walk from here." she said. She wanted to go down but ASh doesn't want her to walk, it might sprain her foot more. They were both silent inside the car."Thank you." she said.Ash was surprised, he didn't see that coming from her mo
