Chapter 29

The side of my neck was on fire. The last time this happened, Serenity was in danger. I tried mind-linking her, but there was no response, and then I saw Beta Jeremiah jogging out of the forest alone.

“Where is she?” I yelled.

“Seeking revenge,” he laughed, and I punched in his jaw.

He spit blood and teeth on the ground, and his wolf came to the forefront, tackling me to the ground. We traded blows, getting the upper hand and letting Jasper join the fun.

My punches were stronger, breaking his jaw like I promised; raining punches to his face, the crunch of his nose breaking, and knocking him out satisfied me.

I retrieved my phone and said, “Are you guys home? A pissed-off Serenity is cutting through the forest near your cabin.”

I hung up immediately, calling Alpha Trevor, “My fiery mate is going to breach your territory; I don't know what her motive is; please just use non-lethal force.”
