I fell back on the bed, kicking and waving my arms around. I placed the pillow over my face and let out a menacing howl, followed by a series of screams.

The room door busted open, and Serenity's hazelnut scent hit me like a freight train. I tossed the pillow to the side, and there she was, standing in a sports bra and leggings, huffing and puffing. I was on cloud nine. She was not a figment of my imagination. A smile graced my lips as she stood in the doorway with her arms across her chest, shaking her head.

Was she out training? Did she see me have a full-blown temper tantrum?
