"Why are you laughing? Do you not want to let her go? She doesn't deserve this, you know!" I yelled at Callum.

"Is that what she told you?" He asked me.

"Yes. That is what she told me! You need to give her some space. She's a good person who was forced to do bad things for you. I know you feel like no one can stop what you want to do and that you are invincible, but you need to let her go, or else there will be consequences!" I said to him.

"You know....you are so cute that it's funny!" He said and burst out laughing again.

"Why are you laughing?! I am being serious here!" I said.

Suddenly, Callum stopped laughing as he looked at me seriously.

"You really should stop believing people so blindly. You have no idea what you're getting yourself into. And you'll get hurt if you aren't smart about the people you trust!" He said to me.

"What are you talking about?" I asked. Something told me that he was earnest this time. But I didn't think that I trusted people unquestioningly.
