KATYA.

I got really mad.

How dare you bitch!

I stood, my hands balled beside me and I was ready to have someone’s head to the ground.

“Don't waste your energy, it's not going to affect her.” A voice sounded behind me, and I turned quickly, shocked that someone could see me. I thought I’d turned invisible.

“Please, tell them to stop,” I uttered as I turned, caring less that the person before me was dressed in a white costume like an angel. She had white hair, white nails, and even white skin - not like a vampire- she was damn pretty.

“They can't hear me either.” The woman looked at the bullies who continued to bully my daughter.

“What?” I paused.

“Are you a ghost too?” I asked. Yes, I knew I had died and possibly, I was a ghost now. The universe probably took me here to see the person I loved the most for the last time before I was escorted to the afterlife.

The woman brought her face back to me, she looked at me with a fierce - angry expression but it didn't really seem like anger, it was like amusement.

“I am the moon goddess, it's amazing that you don't even recognize me. My demeanor ain't different?” She raised her brows to me, staring at me deeply.

I didn't know what to think.

The moon goddess? In front of me right now?

“Why?” The words fell of my mouth.

“To escort you to the afterlife, you don't like that? Gosh, I thought you’d be ecstatic!” She rolled her eyes before folding her arms around her chest.

“Save my child, you're the moon goddess meaning you could do something about this. Please save her!” I begged. There was nothing more I wanted than Chelsea living a better life. She didn't do anything wrong to deserve this kind of life.

The moon goddess looked back at my child, she looked like she was thinking.

“No!” She replied suddenly and my eyes widened.

I couldn't believe her response. Thinking about it over and over again, I got angry. How could she respond like that? Ain't she emphatic? Chelsea did nothing wrong. Nothing!

“Save her, you are supposed to save her! You gave her this life, she did nothing wrong and she certainly doesn't deserve this. How could you be so mean? How dare you call yourself the moon goddess, the mother of nature. How dare you tell us you know what's best for us when all you’ve ever done is give us bad destinies just to amuse yourself!” I yelled, tears in my eyes. It rolled down without my control.

I couldn't take it.

The whimper and groanings from my daughter.

How could the so-called moon goddess watch and do nothing about it?

Her eyes expanded as I talked. Her hands around her chest fell to both her sides and raw emotions showed clearly in her eyes in form of thunder. Also, I saw that she was trying to control her anger. She huffed and looked back at Chelsea, I couldn't even dare to turn around. I couldn't bare to watch the damage the bullies had done to my child.

“His name was Lawson, he was an assassin that killed countless people in his past life. After his punishment in the afterlife, I decided to give him the chance to redeem himself hence he came in form of an imbecile, Chelsea.” She paused and looked at me. I swallowed, taking in her words.

“Chelsea is going to die in a few minutes and after which she would be given the chance to live a better life strictly by her choice. Do you see that I do everything for a purpose? Even when you wolves insult me every day for my choices which I did in consideration of you, I don't mind, I still do them. Hence if I save Chelsea now, her life is just going to be miserable again, over and over again.” She turned to me, staring into my eyes.

There was silence.

“What about me then? The pain I passed through, have I also been evil in my past life?” I asked looking at her.

The moon goddess smiled and moved closer to me.

“No baby, but...” she trailed.

“You were a good man but pompous, you told me it was easy being a woman. Ha ha, I wish you can remember.” She laughed before looking at me and then stopped seeing I wasn't finding it amusing.

I looked away and smirked, wiping my tears.

“I’m going to give you another chance Katya, I am going to give you another chance to revenge against all those that hurt you.” She touched my face and gently caressed it.

“At what cost?” I asked looking in her eyes. She did say she doesn't do anything without a reason hence another chance, another reason.

“At Chelsea’s cost. You are going to go back as your daughter, giving you a leverage. You are going back beautiful, bold, younger, and wiser. A chance to change your story.” She smiled gently caressing my cheeks.

“You are doing this for a reason other than that.” I looked in her eyes and she looked away, smiling in the air.

“I am right?” I asked wanting to be sure.

“Are you taking the chance or not, Katya?” She asked, staring at me with no emotions.

And there was the answer I needed, she was doing this for a reason but it didn't matter to me. As long as I was able to go back. To revenge for Chelsea.

For Katya and for my parents.

Everyone that had been extorted by Arden and his father, I would be going back for them.

I told Arden I was going to seek revenge, he said how was I going to do that? Ha ha, by being your daughter asshole. You would never see it coming.

At the same time, I heard a loud thud and this made me turn around. I saw the female bully at the edge of the roof with a shocked expression. The girls behind her had the same expression.

“You killed her, Ariel!”

“No, it was a mistake. Fuck, I was so angry because she doesn't react. Damn, it!” Ariel screamed before turning to her friends.

“You didn't see anything. You saw nothing!” With this, they ran away.

Tears rolled out of my eyes.

Chelsea was still my daughter, watching her die was going to traumatize me, I knew that.
