Alpha Landon

CHAPTER FOUR.

( ALPHA LANDON'S POV )

I banged my fists furiously on the table, as I sauntered into my room.

I gazed at my reflection on my mirror, and I groaned.

How dare he! That bastard!

I inhaled and exhaled slowly. My first encounter with my mate had been ruined because of him.

I clenched my fists and headed towards my bed, plopping myself down on it.

I was Landon, the Alpha of the Silver moon pack. My parents were long dead, even before I had grown into a young man.

However, I had fought to reclaim the position of an Alpha from the bastard who called himself my uncle.

The one who was now buried in the cold soil, far beneath the surface.

My heart clenched in pain, when I realized that I had scared my mate. I had seen fear in her eyes when I had spoken to her earlier on

The cause? My bastard other personality!

That was right... After I murdered my uncle, and reclaimed my position, I had been traumatized.

Prior before then, I hadn't as much as pulled out a strand of anyone's hair.

Yet, I had murdered my own blood; my uncle.

I had developed a personality disorder, and had lived with it since then.

I tried to hide it as much as possible, but then at odd times, such as today, I couldn't keep it at bay.

My other personality was a psychopath. I wouldn't be sad if he had hurt a random person. But the person whom he had almost hurt was my mate!

My very own mate!

That bastard!

I ran my hands through my golden hair, and sighed in frustration.

How was I going to approach her, now that she was afraid of me?

Well, I had to try...

Few days ago, I had sensed a good scent when I had been paroling close to the Midas pack.

I didn't know what had directed me over to that place, but I had.

And then, when I hadn't expected, a fair creature, one of the fairest I've ever seen, had walked out of the woods, towards the Midas pack.

I was stunned and remained rooted at the spot as I watched her departing figure.

My heart's had thumped faster, and even before my wolf screamed 'mate!', I knew she was the one.

She was mine....

=============

I walked out of my room, and headed downstairs, towards the dining table.

I spotted her. She was seated calmly at the chair, devouring the food.

Was she so hungry that she couldn't wait for me to come downstairs?

I cleared my throat as I took my seat opposite hers. I waited for her to acknowledge my presence, but she didn't.

Bewildered, I watched her calmly. Wasn't she the daughter of the Alpha?

Why then was she behaving like a street ling?

It was only after her plate was finally wiped clean, did she raise her head and looked at me.

She jumped,

"When did you get here?"

"Me? I have been here for the past ten minutes." I smirked.

"Oh... I see. Where are the other members of your pack?" She asked me looking around.

"They don't stay here. This is the Silver moon pack. We aren't so poor, as to live in a single pack house. The other wolves are in their respective houses. I will introduce you to them, later..." I explained with a smile.

I waited for her to ask another question, but she didn't. She remained silent, and kept her head bowed.

Her eyes were fixated on the empty plate in front of her.

I felt pressured by her unusual silence.

"Did I say something wrong?" I finally asked her.

And when she finally raised her head to look at me, her eyes were filled with tears.

"What do you want from me?" She croaked out.

I didn't respond. I continued watching her.

"I want to return to my pack. I can't keep staying here. I don't belong here. And what did you say was the name of your pack again?" I heard her ask.

"The Silver moon pack." I murmured, but I was sure she heard me clearly.

"You are kidding right? Shit... I should have thought of it, when the maids said you were Alpha Landon."

I watched her in amusement as she smacked her forehead.

"So, does that mean you will stay?" I decided to strike while the iron was burning hot.

She didn't respond, but continued murmuring,

"No wonder the decor is superb, and everywhere is screaming nothing but elegance and wealth. Damn..."

I cleared my throat in a bid to draw her attention back to our conversation.

She stopped murmuring, and looked at me.

"What?" She spat.

"Why don't you stay here, at my pack?" I asked her calmly.

"And why should I? It isn't as if you are my mate or something, so why should-" She paused at sprang up.

"What is wrong?" I was confused at her reaction.

"You want to enslave me, isn't it? Is it because you are so high and mighty, so you think every werewolf out there is at your mercy?" She asked coldly.

"Wait..what? What do you mean? And thanks for your compliment by the way." I chuckled.

"It's funny to you, isn't it? Well take me back to my pack."

I was alarmed when she suddenly fell to the floor, and began sobbing.

I sprang up from my chair, and rushed towards her,

"Juliana, stop it."

"Don't you dare come close to me.... Alpha Landon."

I halted in my tracks when I heard the chilliness in her voice.

The way she addressed me as 'Alpha' hurt. There was no iota of warmth in it at all.

"Get a hold of yourself." With that, I turned and headed back upstairs.

I had the sudden urge to hug her tightly. The urge to interlock my lips with hers.

The urge to meld our bodies into one...

The urge to complete the mating bond, there and then.

If I stayed back, then I was sure I wouldn't be able to control myself.
