What the fuck just happened? I whispered inside my head.
Riley shrugs, apparently way too shocked to even respond. She was completely frozen, not to mention stunned by what had just taken place. I guess the adrenaline finally wore off and the events of the last several hours were catching up with her. I couldn’t blame her. My mind was a tangled mess of emotions. I was just as shocked as Riley, maybe more.
