————*Elias’ POV*————
Oh, yes. Kennedi. She was a beautiful brown pup with green eyes & brown hair who’d lost her parents to a mysterious incident that no one could ever figure out. I took her in mostly out of curiousity, but also because I felt responsible since her parents were apart of my pack—the Creogan pack. I was devastated and heart-broken. I felt powerless after. How could I let that happen to them? How could I let this precious little girl’s parents get taken away from her? Everyone knew about the Creogans. No one messes with my pack because we are the strongest around here, and no one likes to see me go on a rampage. It’s dangerous territory for everyone around when I’m in a bad mood.
Though, it never bothered Kennedi one bit. She was the waves to my sea. When I was angry, she’d tell the perfect joke to simmer me down or she’d either give me a big, goofy smile. Sometimes, she’d tell a joke and completely tell the punchline wrong. Once, when she was six years old, she lost her front tooth, and it was very funny to see whenever she laughed because it automatically made me laugh and she knew it.
She grew so fast. It was so incredibly ridiculous to me. I guess what they say is true, “Raising a child makes time go by fast.” It was something of that nature because I don’t think I quoted it correctly. While I’m sitting here, I should call her down.
I shouted her name, “Kennedi!”
——*Kennedi’s POV*——
Every since I could remember, it’s always been Elias & I. Oh, I can’t forget Florence. She was there for me through it all; my tough times, my rough times, my extremely tough times, my good times, my scoldings, love & the big one: growing up as a girl. I couldn’t love Florence any more than I already do. I thank her for being by our side, but more importantly, I thank her for accepting me just as I was. She accepted that I was a regular werewolf, not a orphan who needed pity. I thank Elias for being so great to me. Last, but most certainly not least, I thank God for donuts. I loved them and Elias knew that was the best way to get my attention. I heard him shout my name a second ago. I was still stuffing my belongings into my backpack.
He shouted, “I have donuts!”
I flew down the stairs to get to him and the donuts. I ran so fast that the pictures aligned on the wall were moving from side to side. I actually almost tripped.
I finally arrived to my destination. Almost out of breath, I asked, “Did I hear donuts?”
“Yes you did,” he paused to asked, “What took you so long ma’am?”
“Shoes. Look,” I pointed down to my feet as an explanation. One of them was still untied.
He said, “Hmm. Ok, but you should tie those before you get hurt.”
I defended myself, “I’m not a kid anymore & they would be tied if I didn’t hear the magic word.”
“I know. It’s like you’re 4 all over again whenever donuts are involved.” He gave me a toothy grin of his pearly whites. I was so entranced that I just realized what he was talking about.
I begged, “Please don’t tell that story anymore.”
He laughed, “Alright. Are you ready for school yet?”
“Yes I am. Let me get my donut first mister.”
“Here, I got it for you. You should be more concerned about that shoestring.”
I bent down determined to tie my shoe and come back up to get my donut.
He commanded, “Let’s go.”
And so we went. He drove me to school in his fancy car, and I hopped out extremely happy with two donuts & a napkin in my hand since he won’t let me eat donuts in his car.
“Have a good day,” he said to me.
“You too, Elias.” I blew him a kiss and ran to catch up to my crew. It consisted of Jay, Tyler, Skylar, and me, of course. We had a presentation due today, and we were so lucky to be grouped together. Skylar & Tyler were in a different pack than Jay & I, but we loved them nonetheless.
“Anybody want a donut?”
“I’ll take it,” Jay said.
I shared a donut and that’s something I don’t normally do. I just felt like today would be awesome!
Skylar asked, “So, who’s ready to present this awesome project? I know I am!”
I wanted to say something back, but my mouth was full of donut. I had to hurry and eat before we reached we reached the dragon’s class. She wasn’t an actual dragon, but she had a nasty attitude and stinky breath, just like a true dragon.
Jay chewed before he said, “I am too even though the dragon will probably take off points from our amazing work. She never makes anything easy for us.”
Tyler then shared his thoughts. He tried to say it quietly but couldn’t. “I think she’s actually nice, you guys.” That earned him a laugh from us three and a couple of kids surrounding us who could hear our conversation.
“What makes you think that? You know I had to say something, Tyler. I usually don’t stop eating for our usual nonsense but that was hilarious. You should really take up being a comedian.” I bit my other donut after I was finished talking.
“Well, I didn’t want to tell you guys but I know for a fact she’s nice. She..”
He murmured something I couldn’t hear. I don’t know if it was because of my loud chewing or he was genuinely mumbling.
Skylar asked, “What did you say?”
So I guess he is mumbling. “Just repeat it for us. We can’t hear you. I’ll even stop chewing.”
He sighed and gave a moment of silence. I was about to protest because we only had a hall left until I had to swallow my donut whole.
He finally caved in, “She curved my grade for me. I was about to fail her class, but she gave me extra credit to make up for the bad grade.”
That shocked us, and apparently, it shocked another guy here. I didn’t look up to see who it was. I recognized the voice later on.
“No way!”
It was Benny. I haven’t talked to him since I rejected him. I find it awkward he didn’t care about that. We were close to class now. I ate my donut and opened the door for my friends. I felt like today was still going to be great, but I was totally wrong.
•5 years old•——*Kennedi’s POV*——It’s sunny outside. I love it when it’s sunny because that means I get to play and get as dirty as I want without getting in trouble. You’re prone to be dirty when it’s sunny because it’s dry. There’ll be dust and oh, I use
•still 5 years old•——*Kennedi’s POV*——
——*Kennedi’s POV*——Elias said he wished he’d left me at home. I knew I shouldn’t have come. I knew I shouldn’t have asked. Florence shouldn’t have told me that he would take me. I know I can’t blame Flo, but I do.Now, here I was in this room, crying and sobbing. I’d never been on a jet before but I’d seen the maroon & golden decorated room
————*Elias’ POV*————She didn’t talk on the way back, and when we landed back at the strip, she got off without a word. I know I was supposed to be angry, but I was actually very sad. She’d asked to come with me and now she was leaving and going back. I planned epic fun for us.I sadly asked, “Are you sure?”
————*Elias’ POV*————Someone called me in the middle of my meeting. I told my assistant to take a message but she came back and said it was urgent. I told her to hold. This was an important deal. I finally sealed the deal with benefits to both of us, but more benefits to me. I’d just bought the Loper’s Company; they sold clothes and other apparel.I told the ass
————*Elias’ POV*————When we arrived home, I told Florence what happened and i didn’t forget to mention to her about that strange woman with Kennedi’s mother’s scent.
——*Kennedi’s POV*——I awoke from my dream. The woman told me to go to him. Was she referring to Elias? Who was she? How did she know? I was thinking about this dream entirely too much.
•Kennedi is 6 years old now•——*Kennedi’s POV*——A whole year had passed since Elias & I had our first fight, first trip & first reconciliation. We went on
