Chapter 42

Scarlett opened her eyes the next morning, only to find Adrian still lying in bed next to her. She was shocked to see him there; she didn't expect it at all. She had thought that he would have disappeared by the time she woke up and would regret everything that they did, but that didn't seem to be the case.

“Good morning.” He greeted her and placed a kiss on her forehead. This shocked her even more. He stared tenderly at her and caressed her cheek; she couldn't help but blush.

“Good morning.” She returned his greeting and snuggled in closer to him. He chuckled lightly.

“Are you going to school today?” He questioned her, but she didn't feel like leaving his side at all.

“I don't think I'll be able to concentrate on anything today,” she blushed. “Besides, I have only one class, so I think I'm going to skip school today. The weekend is here already.”

“Alright then. Would you like to come to my place then? I hope you won't mind that it's not as fancy as what you're used to.” He offered.
