They had gathered some wood and put it around Marcus lifeless form and soon a fire was formed and he was engulfed in flames.

No one said anything, they observed his obituary in silence, Killian the most silent of them all.

“He was the last one to get out the fire when the house was burning, he was so scared. Now he is turning to ashes, in the same fire that consumed his heart. I saved him then, but I couldn't save him now.”

Killian turned to Darius after his statement, a sense of loneliness covering his eyes. His brother was short of words until Aria swayed, almost falling until she was caught.

“Aria!” Darius held her tightly, her eyes were sealed shut and he began to fear the worst, “She needs to see a doctor.” With a swoop, she was in his arms and he was walking ahead.

Kai put out the fire and turned to follow his brother, but he took one look at Marcus before running off to catch up with Darius. Right now his present was more important, and that was Aria.
