Alexa's POV

“A…alpha who?” I stutter nervously.

“Alpha Ace,” she repeats.

“How? Since when?” I croak out, confused. The last time I remembered, I was on the battlefield. How did I get here and when did Ace become the new Alpha?

She stares at my confused state, pitifully.

“He was crowned a week ago, while you were unconscious,” she said.

I gulped and forced myself to ask the question I'd been dreading the answer to since I woke up. “W…hat about Alpha Kai?” I ask, holding my breath in anticipation. Please tell me that he is alive, and I was just having a bad dream.
