109. Losing heart in amusement park

Roseline's POV

I was still trying to catch my breath and calm my nerves, feeling disappointed that my panic attack had threatened to ruin our special day.

But, just as the fear was overwhelming me, I felt a palm covering my eyes, blocking out the triggering sight of the fire juggler. His touch had an immediate calming effect on me.

"Shhh," he whispered softly in my ear, his voice like a soothing melody. "Everything is fine. Nothing is going to happen to you."

I clutched his shirt tightly in my fists, finding comfort in his embrace as he wrapped his other arm around my waist, guiding me forward.

As he was with me I couldn't feel anything except his touch and his cologne filled my senses which relaxed me. His presence makes me forget all my fear because I know no matter what he would save me.

After a few steps, he removed his hand from my eyes and there was no more fire in my sight.

"Thank you," I whispered, looking up at him with sincerity in my eyes.
