116. The unknown touch

Roseline's POV

"I will be back before you know it," Vincenzo whispered, gently placing his warm palm on my cheek, caressing it, and keeping his hand there as if he wanted to remember the touch for a long .

'Just leave and let me enjoy my freedom,' I desperately thought to myself.

And in a flash of a moment, he disappeared without saying 'goodbye'

"Vincenzo." I sat up on the bed to find that it was just a dream.

My heart raced in my chest, and my breath was heavy with the lingering emotions from the dream.

Suddenly, my hand reached out to my cheek, which Vincenzo touched in the dream. It felt like someone had actually grazed it with their knuckles. It felt oddly real.
