Chapter Eight: Talk

“Katie’s POV”

“We should talk” I say.

He looks at me and smiles and my heart flips upside down in my chest.

“We definitely should talk, hell I don’t even know your name yet” he teases me.

“My names Katie,” I reply sheepishly, resuming my cooking and preparing the potatoes and carrots I’ll make with fish. Feeling heat rise to the back my neck,
