Chapter 24

Seth POV

When I received Lorena's message while I was still in the meeting, I have to admit that I didn't quite catch on until she mentioned the part-time job, combined with the photo she sent of herself wearing loose pajamas. It seems like I was drinking in the hotel and got myself drunk.

When I arrived, Lorena had wide, misty eyes, with a flushed face, and her clean black hair casually draped over her shoulders. There was a faint smell of red wine on her, clearly indicating that she had been drinking. Her full lips were stained with a rosy wine mark.

Even someone like me, who usually has good self-control, couldn't resist.

It wasn't until the knocking on the door at the entrance awakened a faint memory in me. Lorena's body froze, as if trying to remember something important that she had forgotten.
