I rolled on the bed, sleepy, then I frowned, noticing I was not feeling the warmth Dave usually offers. I touched his side of the bed, my eyes closed, but I felt nothing. My eyes sprung open, and Dave was truly not on the bed. Standing up, I sighed. I wore my purple robe, leaving the room. I know exactly where he is and I Quinn could already hear the laughter before she got to the kitchen.

“Shush, you will wake mom up,” Dave whispered, trying to shush the kids. I rolled my eyes, getting to the kitchen. And as usual, my husband and five kids are stuffing their faces with the cookies that were meant for tomorrow.
