Lucas Missing

The next morning I woke to the bright morning light coming in through the window. Looking down I was surprised to see Lucas still asleep beside me. If it wasn’t for the fact my bladder felt like it was about to burst I would have been content just cuddling up to him. Sighing I scooted down the bed and went into the small bathroom that was attached to the room.

Turning the light on I frowned at the ugly dingy yellow tile. I had a feeling that it didn’t matter how much you cleaned the tile would always look dirty. After using the bathroom I stood up looking at my reflection in the mirror as I washed my hands. My reflection looked just as rough as I felt. My hair was a disheveled mess, I had huge bags under my eyes, and my eyes themselves looked bloodshot.

Splashing my face with water I closed my eyes trying to process last night. The memories hurt, I didn’t know if I should try and push them away or if I should try and face them. The truth was I didn’t want to face what ha
