Chapter 5: The stunning stranger

The part of me getting back at my ex husband sounded delicious to my ears. Pops made a winning argument. Robbing to Tim's face how much better I was doing without him. How happy I am, and how much I have moved on. To let him see that breaking our marriage is the best thing that he has ever done for me. That had a nice ring to it.

But I had another worry. In order to make my ex husband eat his action I need an accomplice. To truly show him that I have moved on, I need to be with someone. The only problem is that I wasn't dating anyone, which Pops seems to have a solution for.

To rent a boyfriend.

I had laughed uproariously when he said it thinking he was being hilarious but he had been hundred percent serious. And had the perfect someone in mind. That made me a little suspicious. The whole thing made me suspicious. But I ignored the doubts in my mind if it meant showing Tim up.

I haven't met my rented boyfriend yet. Grandpa said he will be picking me up today from work. We will be having dinner afterwards. I tried asking for his name but he insisted that I learn everything I need to know about him from the source.

I couldn't shake the feeling that grandpa wasn't telling me everything. But I was intrigued by his plan and decided to let it play out.

Today is my first day at my company. It turns out when you have a closet full of clothes deciding on what to wear everyday becomes a chore. Having options can sometimes be a bad thing. Finally I decided on a black pant suit, with matching blazer and white camisole inside.

When I came out of the room my phone beeped. It was a message from grandpa. He wanted to see me. I made my way to Sapphire where I found grandpa in his home office, behind his executive desk. The office looked very much like a real office with everything he needs. If he doesn't ever want to step into his office at our headquarters he wouldn't need to.

A smile lit up his face when I walked in. There was a proud expression on his face when he took in my appearance. "I have something for you. A gift for your first day." He pulled out his drawer and took out a long velvet red box, and held it out to me.

"What is it?" I asked curiously reaching out to take the box.

"Why don't you open it," he said softly.

I shook the box first trying to gauge what was inside. My grandfather rolled his eyes at my action. "You could open it you know."

"Yeah, but I like guessing," I teased, and then turned towards the door. "Where are you going?" He called out quickly stopping me mid stride. "To the office," I frowned at him.

"Aren't you going to open it?" He looked a bit disappointed so I decided to open it. Inside was a Hermes Faubourg watch. Slender, gold interspersed with diamonds. It was stunning and it made me gasp in awe. I looked up at my grandfather with a grateful expression on my face. "Thanks pops," I said softly.

"You are welcome," his green eyes softened with tenderness as he regarded me. Despite everything that has happened in the past I will forever be grateful to my grandfather because he came into my life when I needed him most. I put on the wrist watch on my left wrist. It was a perfect fit. I made my way around pops table and gave him a kiss to cheeks before leaving.

Outside the Villa the my new car waited. A BMW z4. I smiled at the beautiful purple car. It was custom made. I entered the car and drove off. When I got into the city I decided to get a cup of coffee. It was seven fifteen, which meant that I still have few minutes to spare before opening hours. My intention is to get to work before everyone else.

I stopped to get my coffee from a Starbuck shop on the street. When I walked into the establishment there was a long line waiting and I didn't think I could wait. I turned to leave when I ran into someone and got myself drenched with hot coffee.

"Shit!" I gasped pulling my camisole away from my skin, at the same time a deep masculine voice yelled "fuck." I looked up annoyed and my mouth poised to lash out at the clumsy fool only for my words to hang in my throat when I saw the face attached to the clumsy fool.

He was gorgeous with Arabian features, and beautiful alluring honey brown eyes, that looked more gold than brown. I never seen anyone as gorgeous as the man standing in front of me. Before I could snap out of the shock of his looks, he grabbed me by the hand and pulled me forward. Eliciting a shocked squeak from me.

"Come with me," he said pulling me out of the shop. He didn't let go of my hand when we got into the street, and I was still too shocked to offer any protest and allowed him to pull me wherever he wanted. A man looking like he did, I don't think I minded where he took me, as long as he took me.

We walked into a M and S and he has yet to say why he brought me here and I am yet to ask. He didn't let go of my hand until he got to the bathroom. "Please get out of your cloths. I will get you something else to wear," he said softly.

"Huh!" I mumbled like a retard but he has already walked away. I shook my head, not sure what was happening here. I made my way into the bathroom and did as he asked. I looked at my chest and was glad to see I wasn't burned by the coffee.

I jumped when a knock sounded on the door." Occupied!" I yelled out to whoever. "I have something for you," the female on the other side yelled back. I opened the door to see one of the sales girls standing on the other side holding a bag in her hand.

"He asked me to give you this," she stretched out the bag in her hand to me. "Thank you," I took it from her and closed the door as she walked away. I opened the door and took out a sexy white camisole. It looked better than what I had on. I didn't want to dwell on how he knew my size, because I found my face burning up at the thought.

I threw the camisole on and then my blazer back on and walked out of the bathroom. When I walked into the main area he stood with his back to me. I hesitated a bit before I approached him. I coughed to get his attention.

When he turned to face me I realized the full height difference between us. He was really tall. Six feet two against my five six. Also his eyes are really mesmerizing. Looking into them does strange things to my inside.

"Thanks," I managed to mutter without stuttering over the words. His eyes softened as he stared at me. "No thanks, necessary. It was my fault," he said with great politeness that I was forced to refute. "No it was mine. I didn't look where I was going."

He started to smile making him even more handsome. "Let's both agree is both our faults," he teased. I nodded with a smile.

"Hassan," he stretched out his hand to me.

"Ruby," I placed my hand gently into his outstretched hand.
