Desperate decisions

"How are the wedding preparations going?" Thomas asks, looking at me closely.

We were in a restaurant, at an outdoor table and away from people.

"Everything perfect". I lie, ignoring him and focusing on eating.

"I know that you're not organizing anything and that the story about wanting everything to be perfect was just a pretext to save time and prevent the wedding." Thomas looks at me with a reprimanding look, making me smile.

"I don't intend to marry you Thomas." I say with a slight smile, without showing any concern.

"I don't care about what you want. You will marry me and that has already been decided."

Our gazes conveyed fire, both dark and full of possessiveness. Hatred, there was little to define.

"Do you understand that if you continue you will make an enemy and that I will do everything to destroy you?" I ask seriously and Thomas smiles again.
