Kimberly:

"She's going to be okay," I patted Leo on the back as we waited in the hallway of the hospital that smelt too much like disinfectant and blood for news on Vanessa.

"I know, I know. But the doctor said it was supposed to be normal, why does she have to undergo surgery?"

Leo asked, his eyes tired and teary.

"He didn't say she was undergoing surgery, he said she might have to. Meaning there's also a possibility that she won't have to. Understand?"

I asked, trying my best to reassure him that it was all going to be okay.

He nodded, trying to hold back the tears.

I would think he was cute if Vanessa's life wasn't on the line now.

He'd run out from the labor room, unable to watch his wife crying in pain ten minutes ago and ever since, he'd not been able to go back inside.

"Hey man, relax. Everything is going to work out!" Ethan came to stand beside him.

Leo nodded and mouthed an inaudible thank you.

"You are welcome. Just relax. She and the baby are going to be fine." Ethan said,
