Demetris POV....
I looked down at the city from the hotel room we were staying in. We had only been here for a few hours and I was already having second thoughts about doing this. Jonas had assured me that this was the only option and that The Order wouldn't hurt Willow once I explained to them what she was.
The people moved below me swiftly as the night air started to turn. A storm was coming and quickly. It was perfect for a good hunt but it was against the rules to hunt here. If I wanted to have a good meal then I would have to travel to the next town over.
As vampires we didn't have many rules but when you were in the land that belongs to The Orde
Willow's POV..I woke up to being smothered by Luke's arms. He has been super attentive since Samuel showed up. Everyone seems to agree that we need to go with him to his pack. I, on the other hand, am still a little bit guarded. Maybe I am just being stubborn but the man just shows up out of nowhere saying he is my father. Then tells us that we are all in danger and expects us to just fall in line and go with him.I was finally able to wiggle my way from under Luke and made my way to the kitchen. It was still super early and no one was awake yet. I started the coffee and then grabbed a cup. Once I made my cup I went and sat out on the porch. The cool air felt amazing as it hit my hot skin. That was something I was still getting use to. Never getting cold is nice but sometimes I miss just wrapping up in a blanket and sitting out on the porch.I guess I was lost in thought because I didn't even notice Samuel come out. He
Demetris POV..."Where have you been Jonas?" He looked up at me as he walked into the hotel room."I had something to talk to the Order about. Don't worry about it." His tone was a little aggressive but Jonas has always been that way. I let it go but it made me question what he was hiding from me."Are you ready to go home?" I questioned. He simply nodded at me as he walked over and grabbed his bag. Dante had been by early and notified me that we were to go back to the states and keep eyes on Willow and the others."Did Dante say how long until we make a move?" I shook my head."He just said that we would be notified." It was just the way The Order worked. We probably won't know they are coming until they show up. Unless we call them with a problem. Jonas just shrugged and then we headed out.I hated the wait but in the end it would be worth it. I
My alarm was going off so I rolled over and turned it off. I heard my mother hollering from down the stairs. "Willow get up. Your going to be late." I pulled the blanket over my head and yawned. I knew I should've went to bed earlier but I was just starting to get into a really good book and I just couldn't put it down.My name is Willow Addison. I am sixteen and starting my junior year in high school. I have always been a bookworm I guess you can say. Not that I didn't have friends but I have just always been into my studies. I kept impecable grades and stayed out of trouble."Willow Marie Addison don't make me come up there." My mother's voice rang out."I'm up!" I yelled back. I slowly rolled out of bed and made my way to the shower. I was actually excited to get back to school I was just slow this morning. I took a quick shower and picked out my outfit for the day. My mother had of course gone overboard
My mom wasn't to upset especially once I told her all about Jesse. She was actually excited for me. He was the only boy I have shown any interest in."I am happy for you Willow. However, there will be rules. For one no later than ten on school nights and eleven on the weekend." I smiled at her and agreed. That was two weeks ago. Jesse and I have become the talk of the school. I was starting to see why he liked being part of the popular crowd but it was not me and he understood that. He never pushed me to be around his friends if I didn't want to."Hey babe you staying after for practice today?" Jesse took his spot beside me and pulled me closer to him."I can't today. I promised mom I would go home after school. She has some stuff being delivered." He flashed me his big puppy dog eyes and I laughed."Fine, but we have to run to my house right after practice." He smi
I woke in a cold sweat and the echo of my scream was still sounding in the cave. It was just starting to get light out and my fire had all but died out. I still was a bit out of it when I heard the steps coming twords the cave entrance again. Once again I backed up into the shadows and watched as the same young man appeared. He was a sight. I hadn't taken the chance yesterday to look at him because I was to worried he would see me. The man stood probably six foot. He had short blonde hair and from what I could see he had a nice build. He was muscular but not overly muscular. Today he had on just a black tank top and shorts. I could make out the hint of a tattoo on his chest. How he wasn't freezing I had no idea.He placed another bag by the entrance of the cave. He looked around and saw the containers from yesterday sitting by the fire pit I had built. "I know you are scared but if you decide to come out I promise I won't hurt
Willow's POV...I could hear voices around me but I couldn't seem to open my eyes. I thought that I had to be dead. "Dad I don't know what else to do. She should have woke up by now." The voice sounded familiar but I wasn't sure who it was."Luke she will wake when she is ready. You saved her son. Besides look she has all but healed and it has only been a few days. You know what that means." I didn't hear the response as I fell back into the darkness.I don't know how much longer I was out but this time I was finally able to actually open my eyes. I slowly opened them and the light was overly bright. Maybe I was in a hospital. Once my eyes adjusted I looked around. I definitely wasn't in a hospital but it looked like I was in someone's house.I heard a small noise in the corner of the room. I turned my head and that's when I saw him. It was the young man that had been bringing food to t
Luke's POV...I still was trying to grasp everything that had happened in the last few weeks. From the moment Willow had entered our land I had a pull to her. I could feel everything she was feeling. She was scared and didn't know what had happened to her. I knew the answers to some of her questions but I couldn't just come out and say hey you're a wolf.No. She had to figure it out on her own. For some reason she was blocking out her transformation. My father had said that something dramatic had happened when she first shifted and that was why she was blocking it. I just wish I knew what had happened so I could help her.I also was very concerned about the creature I had seen almost attack Willow. I hadn't yet told my parents about it because I wasn't sure if I had seen it correctly. Who am I kidding? My eyesight is the best when I am in my wolf form. I did know what I saw and that means trouble. My
Luke's POV...It's been two weeks since Willow finally realized what she was. She is impressive and a quick learner. The more time we spend together the stronger the pull is between us. I know she can feel it to but I don't think she knows what it means. I don't want to freak her out by just coming out and saying anything about it.My parents had explained it to me when I was sixteen. It is in our blood to find our one mate. When you find that person you can feel everything they feel, and when you mate the connection is unbelievable. There are stories of elders in the community that have been able to feel and hear their mate over thousands of miles once they have mated. I don't know how true those stories are but so far everything else that has been told to me has all been true."Come on Luke I want to go for a run." Her sweet voice called out to me from the front door. We still haven't explained everything
