Emma's POV

Sadness, dizziness, pain, and blood...

Where am I?

"Jordy!" I gasp, sitting up with his name on my lips. Opening my eyes, I blink, feeling as if I've been sleeping for a year.

I find myself lying in darkness, surrounded by the early morning hours. As someone pulls back the curtains, warm blankets are piled on me.

My head spins with the movement, and my stomach lurches, causing waves of nausea.

Turning to my left, I see my brother Elton sleeping beside me, a blanket pulled up over his legs.

Where am I? And why do I feel so groggy?

And then the memories flood back, crashing like a car wreck. I remember Jordy saving my life, and Austin pulling Jordy's body out of the car. I recall someone wiping my forehead and whispering something.

"You're awake!" Elton says nervously, gripping my hand firmly.

Elton remains by my side, visibly exhausted from lack of sleep, and as soon as he sees me waking up, he firmly holds my hand.
