Earl was anxiously pacing in the library as he waited for Gregg to come in. It had been a while since Lady Laurel Kris left, and he was not back. He was either calculating, hoping that the lady would change her mind and come back or Gregg would come in to tell him she had realized her mistake, but none of that happened.
