Dante POV
Within every veins of my fibre, anger and rage soared through. The fact that Collins had shot Nadia without no remorse made me loose all sense of logic."Dante, remember you would be punished if you attempt to assault Collins. Remember thw code rule of the hunting group. Yield yourself peacefully, we don't have to do this with force applied." There was no way I was going bro leave Lillith here. I looked from Collins to Nadia's dead body and in that moment, I knew where my heart lies."You know what; screw this organization, screw you and every single one that opted to be part of it." I leaned down and picked Nadia up and stared back at them. "I am out of it." From my peripheral vision, I could still see a struggle between Collins and Steve but at this point I didn't care.Walking past several paths in the forest, my intention was to find a means to get back Nadia. It was weird, but I believed she could still be brought back to life. The awareness of other past packs that we had haunted still stuck in my brain and with hope placed in my heart, I still believe that there could be survivors that could produce an answer.Once I arrived at a certain pack, I heard growls from each sides and with such awareness, I drop Nadia on the floor carefully. Their language were vague to my ears, while in wolf form, but after a stop in the growl, I realized they knew she was one of their kind.In a flash of eyes, they were humans again, approaching me, oozing the aura of confidence within; a thing that intimidate me."You are human. What are you doing with her." One, who looked like their head chief enquired."She died in my hands and I am hoping to know if there is a means to get her back to life." I said in a rather much sad tone. The men look amongst themselves, once again speaking in a silence language. It was almost as though they mind linked amongst themselves."Stay here with the girl, while some of my men and i go consult the pack doctor. We don't want any human in our pack, after our last encounter with the hunters, we consider them an abomination." The chief guard indicated and moved away with most of his soldiers into the city, leaving a dead Nadia with myself and one soldier. After hours of waiting, they all returned with a strange man, cloaked up on diabolic attire. The man was without a doubt their healer. They all approached us, their eyes gazed on Lillith."Stepa aside." The healer indicated, staring at me with slight disdain. They all didn't like me, which wasn't much of a surprise as I was their nightmare. After minutes of staring at Lillith, holding her hands and checking her pulse, the strange man returned back to his people, where they communicated in silence."She can be very much be brought alive. However, this will only happen if you get a certain book." He explained."What sort of book?" I asked with slight hope placed in my heart."It contains the bishap power and it can only be found in one of the sacred packs. Bring this book and use it to get her back to life." After he was done speaking, the healer left the scene, while the rest simply stared at me; a sign that they want me gone.Leaving the pack, I knew only one place the book can be found and it's in my city. The mystical store usually preserve all of this books and I knew it was the best place possible to get it.It was a Herculean task holding Lillith and not getting stressed out. The dashing hopes I had to get her back, fueled my motivation.Arriving back at the city, there wasn't a lot of people on the street and the few that walked past me, believed I was a psychopath. I could hear the whispers, but I could careless about any of it.When I stepped into the store, it was a cozy and almost looked deserted, that wasn't until a men stepped out of the shelves."My goodness. Who is she and who in the world are you?" He asked as he stared down at Lillith's lifeless body in my hands."Please I need help. I was told about a book that contains the bishap power. The lady I hold in my hands is a Werewolf and I wish above everything that she is brought back to life." For a moment he stared at me and then back to Lillith. "I know you think that I may be out of my mind, but I beg you allow her to be whole again."He didn't say a word and retired back to the shelf. After a minute of waiting, he returned once again with the book in his hands. "My name is Zod and I can help you with the spell. You can only cast such dangerous spell in this place and no where else." He informed as he handed over the book to me.I totally understood what he was speaking about. The people believed that magic doesn't exist. And prior to being a Werewolf hunter, I believed the same theory. However, with the number of wolves I had killed, I believe magic was real.I laid Lillith carefully on the table and Zod locked the doors hoping no one would come in such moment. He simply stared down at me with an understanding look, while I flipped through the pages of the book.It was luckily inscribed in English and the book required that I speak these words loud and clear. After hesitating for a moment, I said the words from the books in loud and clear manner, and with hope in my heart, I believed it could work.I felt a sudden sensation as a weird energy flowed through parts of my body, leaving me in ultimate confusion."What is happening?" I asked, holding my hands and as they kept on vibrating. The spell obviously hadn't worked on Lillith but myself.Dante POV I looked up and noticed the man staring down at me in confusion. He rushed over to Lillith's side, who was still unconscious."She has no life." His words fueled my anxiety. Did I do anything wrong? Did I cast the wrong spell? Did he give me the right book? Several questions kept flying through my head. However one main thing reminded constant in my subconscious thoughts; I had possessed strange energy."Listen, we need to do something, I need to help her. It is obvious the Bishap book didn't help." I pleaded to the man, whose name I am yet to discover."I have someone that could perfectly explain the whole situation. I am merely a library keeper, who knows all the books here." Staring at Lillith's lifeless body, I couldn't help but be amazed by her beauty. Even in her subconscious state, she was still very perfect."Lead me to this person you talk about, I beg you." I watched as he rushed over to his counter, pulled up a pen and a paper and scribbled something unto the piec
Nadia POVThe world was quiet for some moment, till my ears began to pick up whispers. I couldn't comprehend what was happening. The whispers increased and after a while, I heard a slight giggle, followed by a groan of frustration.Right before I could open my eyes to comprehend what was happening, a bright light illuminated my face and at that moment, I used my hand as a shield to protect my face. "Happy Birthday!" I smiled, seeing the people that had gathered in my room with several birthday presents. Slowly I got up from the bed as they urged me to snuff out the candle. It was my eighteenth birthday and I had almost forgotten about it. My family were the best and seeing their happy faces light up my day. I cut through the cake and tasted it, feeling it's goodness."So Anabelle, what is your birthday wish?" My beloved sister Rachel asked. She is the life of the house and always had a means to make everyone feel good about themselves."I haven't really thought about anyone." I admit
Dante POVThe world stopped almost the second I laid eyes on the young maiden right before me. There was something about her that pulled me close, but I couldn't lay hands to it. At her left hand, I noticed a dagger and it was apparent she was up to no good. Her pale body, coupled with her long nails gave me the hint that she was a witch."What do you want from me?" I pulled my riffles and aimed it directly at her. She had her hands up in the air, her eyes still holding signs of recognition."What is strange is that I have seen you before and this scene several times." Her statement caught me off guard. I perfectly understood the fact that witches were magical creatures, but I never knew they could speak parables as well."What are you talking about." She was about to explain, when a bright light flashed across the tunnel, almost blinding my vision."Good Job Mr. Taylor, we will take it from here." Adjusting my eyesight to the light, several men had surrounded the tunnel, all with riff
Nadia POVThe entire coven had gathered at the peak of the moon, dancing and singing across the fires of the night. The smile on the face of the queen showed that I would be fully welcomed as one of the witches to the pack. "Tonight, you have shown that you are not only a true witch, but could pose as a warrior as well." The Queen revealed, holding up the head of the witch hunter. "She didn't just bring any head to the coven, she brought to us, the head of a witch hunter. It shows how much bravery she posses and indeed you shall be inducted properly." The next few minutes were spent on rituals and eventually I felt a surge of energy running through my veins, after I had taken a potion given to me by the queen."Welcome to the Coven Anabelle." The rest of the witches all screamed in joy. I could see the smile beaming through my mother's face as she watch the induction go on.Once the ceremony was over, I was left alone heading towards my home, after a hectic day. I dashed to the bedroo
Dante POVI was lost in her eyes, the moment she came out of the woods. I wondered if she was ever stalking me."What are you doing here.. Especially with a dagger in your hands." She dropped her dagger and seemed to be contemplating about something. On a closer look to her demeanor, I noticed she was a little moody; almost in the same manner as someone who was sulking."None of your business." She indicated placing the dagger back into her cloak and attempting to leave."It would have been none of my business initially, but considering I saved your life from the witch hunters, I think I deserve some credits." I revealed with a smile up on my face. She literally rolled her eyes at me, walking casually over to my side with a look of no emotion laced up on her face."Listen to me human, I don't want to have anything to do with your creature and indeed I am truly grateful for your help, which is why I am showing mercy. I had the intention of slitting that throat of yours, the moment I lai
Nadia POVReturning back to the coven, several of the witches gathered at the queen's mansion, while we stepped foot into the building. Murmus and whispers flying around ad they had their eyes set on me.Once we arrived at the chambers, Alina and the rest of the witches left, leaving me alone to confront the queen. I heaved in a breathe and eventually let the chambers open, revealing the queen staring at an art on the wall, with her hands folded behind her. She was all dressed in the royal black robe and she looked effortlessly beautiful."You left the coven with a dagger and despite my order for you not to leave, you still disobeyed me. What does that tells you about your attitude young witch?" She asked making a turn to stare at me, with her usual customary emotionless look."I am sorry. I was engulfed in my emotion. I really needed to take the head of the humans one by one." I admitted honestly."And where did that lead you?" She asked raising an eye brow and chuckling afterwards. S
Nadia POV"I..I.." It was apparent that I had caught her on her tale lies. Her eyes moved around everywhere else but me, possibly searching for something to say."You are stuttering now aren't you? This is because you know I am saying the truth. You lied and thought I would never find out." She sighed for a moment and look up at me with an evil smirk on her face."Of course I did say something about you. We both know that you have a chemistry with the human. It all run through the course of your vein, your hormones cannot resist it and we both know I am not lying." I couldn't contain my fury anymore, in that moment I slapped her across the face, the impact attracting the attention of several witches."You stupid bitch." She launched at me and we both got into serious brawls, pulling at each other's hair. I rolled her towards the floor, trying to get the upper hand, but Imade was pretty much strong on her own accord."Both of you, stop this madness at once!" The queen's voice beckoned
Nadia POVStanding before the several faces of the witches sitting across the table, I knew it would definitely be a long evening."Kindly explain how you have a connection with the humans and how it is related to your mother's death." The queen instructed and just when I would open my mouth to speak, she halted me. "I need you to understand that if you fabricate stories and you are caught on perjury before the council, we would have you executed. So choose your words carefully." I cleared my voice, so I could be audible."Standing before this council, I wish to reveal that the human you kept in the dungeon saved me from the witch hunters, the very night I brought that head home. He was instrumental in the Killing and I won't admit that he may be harmless." Some of the council members murmured amongst themselves."And it means you have a hand in your mother's death don't you?" This question was infuriating in several ways. "I need to let this council understand that the conspiracy a
