"Are you sure she'll be fine, Doc?" Miles asked the doctor for the umpteenth time over the phone.

"Yes, Mr. Miles. All she need is a good rest, and she'll come out strong,"

"What about the baby? Are you sure the baby is fine also?"

"You have nothing to worry about. I would've told you if the baby was not fine, so it's nothing to worry about," He breathed out in relief after the doctor assured him.

"Thank you so much,"

"Alright. I got to go now," He breathed out again after the call ended, and sank his fingers into his hair while sitting on the edge of the bed.

"What happened to her? Was she assaulted by that bastard again?" Even though the doctor already told him earlier that it wasn't an assault, he still thought maybe it was something of such, especially as Oscar escaped and was no longer under his custody.
