Chapter Eighteen - Week from hell...

It has been the week from hell. Everything had been going wrong, between work and my damn ex-girlfriend suddenly getting back in touch with me! And on top of all of that, I have barely even seen Aubrey outside of work. That was my fault! I get that way if my ex comes around or contacts me. She was the only woman I ever let myself fall in love with, and she broke my damn heart! It is still something that gets to me even now. My ex has some strange power over me, and I hate it. It makes me weak and fucks with my head, heart, and moods. Hence, why I have been avoiding Aubrey.
I turn into even more of an asshole when this happens. It was bad enough I have been acting like a jackass more than usual at work. But tonight, it was time for an apology. Aubrey, I believe, got tired of me, and I don’t blame her. Today at work, she didn’t even look at me and only spoke to me if she needed to.
