49 Meeting Again

Ulysses's POV

The room was empty, filled only with bookshelves and glass vessels reflecting the light.

I lay on the floor, surrounded by my manuscripts on magic. I stared blankly at the ceiling, feeling bored.

So dull. Without Phoebe's voice, the whole magic castle seemed terribly quiet.

The doorbell rang suddenly.

I immediately sat up, ran to the fireplace, and settled down comfortably. With a snap of my fingers, a cup of fragrant tea appeared in my hand.

"Ulysses," the flames in the fireplace suddenly flared up, and Klaus's voice came through.

"Ah," I sighed disappointedly, thinking someone else was going to talk to me.

"Ulysses," Klaus's voice continued from the fireplace, and I lazily replied, "I'm here, Mr. Alpha. Your loyal friend Ulysses is here to listen to your troubles. Feel free to speak."

"Ulysses!" Klaus's tone grew serious, "What have you done?! Why does Cecilia keep running to my castle? She's always asking about you!"

"Oh, Cecilia? Does she miss me?" I set down the tea
