CHAPTER 42

Lara fluttered her eyes open weakly. She felt tired and worn out. It was strange. She wasn't in her room. The room didn't look familiar.

Her breath caught, thinking she had been caught by the assassin. She stood up immediately to move.

"Wait!" a deep and worried voice yells out. She turned towards the sound of the voice and gasped. It was Brad and he wasn't fully dressed.

"You're finally awake," he said smiling. She frowned. He walked up to her, with water still dripping from his body and hair. He shook his hair, trying to get her wet.

"It isn't funny," she answered. She was surprised she had survived the attack. The last thing she could remember was the assassin trying to kill her.

As she tried to recall exactly what had happened, her head started aching. Suddenly there were pains in her head.

"Oh, my God! What's going on?" She quickly asked as she held her head. Brad ran to her and held her hands. He sat her back on the bed before touching her head.

"What's wrong?" He asked h
