I held the phone in my hand, sobbing into it. I couldn't go to Esme, to talk about it, and I could only sit in fear.

The door was opened and I felt my body quiver before recollecting that Adam was on his way.

I sat still, unable to move until he opened the door, and walked towards me

" Hey," he called as soon as he settled into the room.

" I'm here," he said, holding my tear-filled face in his palm.

I burst into tears, my body quivering at the thought of what had just happened.

He rubbed his hands on my back soothingly, until I ran out of tears.

" What did he say?" he asked looking into my eyes.

I shook my head, unable to repeat what I'd heard, instead, I handed him my phone and blocked out my ears from listening to it.

" I'll get him before you before dusk," he said and I shook my head in refusal.

" It'll ruin what Esme has planned, I trust you all and he probably thinks he's got it all, he thinks he's got the upper hand, and going after him will only boost his confidence," I
