CHAPTER 17.

ADNAN

" Adnan! " A call, I can never ever resist hearing. My small hummed melt in the air, looking at the blooming face like a thief. I tore my gaze again. She entered the painting room with the coffee mug.

I need it.

But I need her even more desperately.

" Your coffee. " She measured the half length of the room as she reached me with caution. She stopped at the exact place she was supposed to. A little bit I always make sure to not move my stool and canvas frame so nothing trips her, I place my things as usual as they could be.

" How is it going? " She asked, slightly nervous but there was nothing that I used to see. Fear. She doesn't fear me anymore. Not like I'm too soft towards her but at least I'm not as horrible nowadays.

I noticed she was always trying to talk casually as if we were used to it. But I got her, she was doing what she said.

Giving us a chance.

Giving this marriage a chance.

Most importantly, she was giving me a chance.

Sorry for her, she's going to be heartbroken
