Chapter four

Diane:

I packed up every last bit of clothing I had, in preparation to leave. I'd made up my mind already.

Tonight I will be leaving for Sephora hills.

I'd just placed my treasured box of saviour's pictures within, when the door creaked open, revealing my mum who calmly entered the room.

“Mum….” I was startled a bit as I took her in.

I didn't really know if she was still against me going to Sephora hills, even though I'd made up my mind that no one would stop me.

Initially, I had wanted to take on Axel in a war, over my child, but after receiving his cold invitation,

I had a change of vengeance. It was one that would make sure I take revenge on Axel and also be with my son in the end.

Very risky but also fulfilling at the end.

She hadn't said another word since the invitation arrived, but I felt her anger at all of it.

“You packed everything?” she started, eyes roaming around my bags.

“I…I um, since I might be gone for a long time, I figured I might just do so…” I swallowed hard, unable to continue.

“I know you don't want me to…”

“Go….” She stated, cutting me short, surprising me.

“W..what?” I gasped, relief flooding my chest.

She stood within an inch from me, “You want vengeance, go get it ..”

With a fiery gaze, she continued, “Show Axel that even the wounded lioness can rise again and reclaim what's hers…..”

At that moment, hearing the words spill from her lips, happiness surged through me and I pulled her into a squashing hug, which lasted until we pulled away and she held my cheek in her palms.

She shook her head at me, wiping a stray tear off my face,

“You're my daughter, prove that to him. Make me proud, and make me a promise ....”

I urged her to go on and she did.

“Beta Agasha told me what you plan to do, and I approved. He said you’ll be there for quite a while. But you have to promise me, Diane, while at it, You’ll never let Axel back into your heart ever again….”

Her words made me frown.

That's what was bothering her?

When I was in fact completely over the damned fool.

“You don't ever worry about that. I learned my lesson. I'm not a fool to make the same mistake again.”

“Good. You'll only take vengeance when the time is ripe and while at it, you’ll kill Axel….”she hissed in dark contempt as her gaze darkened.

I swallowed, stunned as her words hit me.

“Wh..what?”

I don't know if that was supposed to be a part of my plot.

“Kill him and bring me his head on his silver platter, make a promise to me that you will do so…”

Bearing a knife she unveiled to me, she made a tiny cut in her thumb….

“Through a blood oath. That is the only reason I will let you go…” she hissed, signaling for me to bring forth my hand as well.

Quite hesitantly, I did so and she made a tiny cut in my thumb as well.

“Promise me Diane….” She demanded.

In that moment, she was not just my mum, but she was a powerful alpha led by vengeance.

Eventually, I gulped and nodded, pressing my thumb to hers.

“I promise…” I breathed out.

“If you don't do so, I'll do it for you…” she said, to which I nodded.

Our blood touched, sealing the oath, and mum relinquished at the sight.

“Good….”

When it was finally time to leave, David had already marshaled out the warriors that would come with. Everyone was at the borders.

“Everything has been arranged. We have implanted bombs around their house, and around the event…” He stated.

Even though we were werewolves, weaponry was our forte, and that's what we plan to defeat the galaxy pack with, tonight.

“And our warriors will hold their women captive, all through the ceremony. The rest is up to you Diane…” Beta Agasha conconcurred.

I nodded.

Weeks of planning finally came into action tonight.

Yet, I was quick to add, “Axel can be very brutal, you have to be extremely careful on your side.”

The beta had already enforced me, handing weapons to me. We had clearly mapped out my vengeance and hopefully, it’ll work out just well.

“But we won't leave you alone entirely at the venue, I'll have our warriors still lurking around in case.” David added, to which I agreed to.

The need for them may turn up.

Amelia wanted to come with me. She already had her bags packed, and she joined me right here at the borders, with a hug.

“Thank you for wanting to come with…”

Honestly, I was grateful to have a companion for the big risk I was about to take.

“I would have never let you do this alone. Last time, I let it happen but this time, you have me..”

“Is Kai okay with it?” I asked, glancing at her mate who had accompanied her here.

She nodded, as he pressed a kiss to her forehead, “He totally understands that my best friend needs me. Besides, we’ll still be seeing each other….”

I was relieved at that.

Mother and everyone else gave me their blessings. It was tough and emotional to bid everyone goodbye once again, but I had to do what was to be done.

So with a blood oath in mind and my weapons against the galaxy pack at hand, I embarked on a sea trip to Sephora hills with Amelia, in the dark of night. The warriors and David would come later in another ship.

The wedding was tonight…

As our ship neared their harbor, the first thing that came into view was the popular Sephora hill, signifying our arrival to their country.

It was only a few hours till I said hello to my onetime lover once again.

We booked a cab to the pack mansion.

And on the way, Amelia and I went over the strategy we would use to sieve into their home.

We would sneak in with the sea of servants and it worked just fine.

Relief flooded my chest at the successful entry, also at the remembrance that my son was within this walls, determination coursed through me.

“Remember what you're supposed to do?”

I asked, once we detached ourselves from the servants.

I handed her my sack containing a jar of wolfsbane and she nodded.

“Goodluck..” she whispered.

“You too..” I said, before she eventually rejoined the servants and we split ways.

Sneakily, I entered the east wing, uprooting every security on my part with a single snap of their heads.

Heading towards my prime destination.

Alpha Jackson's wing.

He was the first target on the map of my plot.

In the past few days, the spies I had implanted around here, had helped me understand Jackson’s routine.

I was relieved when I found his room and even more relieved to find that I was right on time.

He was yet to arrive, so with my hair pin I unlocked the door and snuck into the dark room.

Minutes passed with me, waiting in the dark room until I heard the unlocking of his door, signaling his arrival.

The first thing he did was to turn on his lights.

Immediately he turned and sighted me, the shock on his face was priceless.

“You…” he sneered once he found his voice, flicking his guard off.

“Yes, me..” I smirked, getting up from the cozy couch. Even though my heart pounded at the sight of the cruel powerful alpha, I refused to let it show.

He took me in, eyes sparkling in raging shock, “What are you doing here? How did you get in here? Guards!” he hollered.

I tsked, “I suggest that's not the right thing to do now, especially as I've already taken out your guards around this corner. Didn't you notice they were gone?” I took predatory steps towards him.

If he was scared, he didn't show it.

All he did was grab a knife from the door table which he flung my way,but I skillfully missed it.

“You have some nerve…” he snickered.

“How the fuck did you get in here?” he demanded as my defiant eyes locked with his.

“Infact, I should teach you a lesson…” he wagged a finger at me, before launching towards me, but I was quick to shift away, resulting in him almost toppling to the floor.

He turned to me in utter rage, willing to launch at me again but I surprised him with a kick in the crotch.

“Owww…” he groaned, palming the evil jewel that created Axel, as he staggered out of balance.

At that, I jumped on him, wrestling him to the floor, where I sat over him and delivered punches to him.

“I've been waiting to do this since the day your stupid son betrayed me…” I snarled, punching nonstop.

I eventually stopped to squeeze at his throat, as I struggled with my other hand, to draw out the potion I have for him in my pocket.

In that moment, he took it as his cue to overpower me, turning the tables.

Pushing me to the floor, he sat over me as he delivered punches to my cheeks, and resorted to continuously banging my head against the board surface.

The stench of my own blood filled my nostrils but I was unrelentless.

I was Alpha Giselle’s daughter.

Revenge was now or never.

With that in mind, I inched my hand up to his neck, trying to choke but all he did was slap my hands away.

“You bitch…” he sneered.

He smirked darkly, “I’ll help Axel finish up what he should have done that night …..” saying that, he inched forward, to grab the knife which was at a reachable distance on the floor beside us.

He was distracted, yet with a hand choking me down but I took that as my cue to strike.

I quickly drew out the potion in a syringe, Beta Agasha had given to me, and forcefully jerked his hand off my throat.

“Not before I defeat you…” I hissed, and suddenly, pierced the syringe through his neck.

Finally!

He stilled, as the potion started taking effect on him, making him crumble to the floor, with a glare focused on me.

“What did you do to me? you evil daughter of Giselle..” he croaked as he thudded to the floor, where instant paralysis took over him.

Standing up, I hovered over him.

“I've only done what must be done to reclaim victory …and this is only but the beginning….” I sneered over his face, as he struggled with a hand clutching his chest.

The sight only gave me pleasure, as I watched him struggle till he lost consciousness all together.

I wiped the blood stain on my forehead, remembering Sofia was my next target, when suddenly, I heard sounds of someone approaching followed by a swift knock on the room door.

“Alpha?” The soft voice called, instantly making my heartbeat go haywire.

Goosebumps spread through me as I realized Alpha Jackson was unconscious, with me here alone with him while there was someone at his unlocked door.

The knocking continued, as I stared between his unconscious form and the syringe in my hold.

Shit! No….

Sweat formed on my forehead and I paced the room, as panic filled me.

What should I do?

I didn't have time to act fast, because in the next second, the person was already pulling the door open….
