Charles POV

We've been trekking for what felt like an eternity. It's been twenty minutes now. I was tired although my fatigue refused to settle in. My determination to find her. my mate, fueled my every step.

Suddenly, her scent enveloped me. I sniffed my nostrils around, trying to locate her direction by her scents which had give me a beacon of hope amidst the darkness.

I turned to my left side since that's where the scents seemed to be coming from and for not more than one minute,I spotted her atop a fence. Instantly, my wolf stirred within me, recognizing her my mate
