"This is too much. The one who had agreed for this meeting is not available here. How can your boss be so irresponsible?" I shouted at the young woman who is supposed to be his secretary.

I'm currently in the conference room surrounded by the businessmen and investors sitting around the round black table.

There is a white screen ahead of us and a paper kept before us on the table. Almost all of the seat has been occupied but the head one is still vacant.

We are waiting for the gentleman from last 30 minutes and he is not picking up his damn phone.

What a gentleman he is!

He had sent his secretary on time but the one who is the head of the meeting hasn't arrived yet. My butt is aching from sitting for a long time and it's infuriated me to go away.

"I'm sorry, Ms.Sench. He has told us to remind him one hour before but now he is not picking up his 

call." The red hair said in an apologizing manner.

If not for the dream project of mine, I would have left the conference hall this instant. The arrogant, rich jerk is thinking high of himself that he can come anytime and start the meeting but he is misleading himself.

"Relax Yerin. He might have been stuck in something important. He would arrive soon." Claire one of my friend and investor told me.

I was getting impatient waiting for that arrogant guy and tapping my foot continuously on the floor.

No. This is not how I would behave but it's about the project in which I have done so much hard work.

From the start of my career as an architecture engineer, I wanted to build this project. Now, here I'm in the last stage of fulfilling my dream but the luck doesn't seem to be in my favor.

I sip the coffee which was put over on the table to distract myself and review my presentation for the last time.

"Ladies and gentleman, we are sorry to inform you that the meeting has been canceled." A voice came from the middle of the room and it's none other than the red hair girl who seemed embarrassed to meet our gaze.

My eyes were on her and the words she just spoke make me to zone out. After convincing the authority for a whole week, they have agreed to be here and now because of some irresponsible bastard I'm going to lose the project.

"What the hell are you talking Lona? Your boss has stood us for last 40 minutes and now he told us to go. That's freaking waste of our time." Luke shoot dagger at the red hair whose name seem to be Lona and she just apologized in behalf of the company.

I didn't say much as it was my bad to held the meeting so I stood up and walk to the exist. I felt defeated, like a warrior who has lost the war for his country. Bowing my head down and clutching my tablet at the side I get out from the building.

Today morning, I was so excited and confident about the meeting but now my face is dull and so is my mood. I then headed to the parking lot and get inside my Sen. I was igniting the engine when the other side of the car door opened and a man get inside.

"Beautiful, don't be disappointed. We will made it." Luke gave me an assuring smile and I nodded my head driving the car to my office.

Then I got busy with checking out some paperwork and at 7 pm I went to Claire house to celebrate the biggest day of her life.

"Oh! Yerin I'm going to miss you a lot." Claire said hugging me tightly when I told her I'm leaving to meet my parents.

"God! Woman I'm just going for a week or two and you're being overdramatic." I said pulling out of her embrace.

"Yeah. It's perk of being pregnant." Claire said rubbing her belly and gave me a dreamy look.

"Congrats me. I'm goanna be aunt. Little Claire or Kevin is going to eat my brains out." I said with a teasing look.

"You woman haven't congratulated us and you wanted us to congratulate you. It's not you who had done hard work. You know Kevin and I had made lo-" I cut off her as I don't want to hear her intimate relation details.

"Enough, woman. Don't embarrass me and I know about your so called hard-work. Anyways, I'm going to have some drinks." I told emphasizing hard-work and she blush hard.

I then sat on the bar stool and ordered a drink. I was sipping the drink when someone join me. I glare at the person beside me and ignore him.

He has ditched me in the middle of the party and now when it's time for me to go, he is here to show his face.

"I'm getting late. Drop me to the airport." I said getting up and look for Claire to say goodbye.

After bidding goodbye to Claire and her family, I went outside and Luke was already waiting for me in his car. I then get inside the front of the car and he drove to the airport.

"So, Mr.Luke Hemingway! Are you going to miss me or not." I asked in a dramatic way, once I was ready to check in with my suitcase at the side.

"Oh! Ms.Yerin Sench! You will the only one whom I will miss a ton forgetting about myself." He replied in the same tone with his signature smirk.

"If you forget yourself then how are you going to miss me. You dumbass." I said poking him with my index finger on his chest.

I then engulf him in a bone crashing hug and with a peck on his cheek, I check in and 20 minutes later boarded the plane.

But to my bad luck I didn't get the comfortable seat. In hurry I didn't check much about the flight and now I need to endure it.

But being me, I didn't let myself feel uncomfortable and exchanged my seat with a little bit of drama. I relax sitting on my new seat and chuckle thinking my drama classes help me out. I have left one family here and now it's high time I meet my parents.

Geez, NY miss me alot.
